I have met many strippers and Most of them I like. Some are goofy. Some are very smart and some are scammers. pretty much like any other girls you meet in bars and clubs. My problem is that most of them are so young. I can't do that. Show me a good looking stripper in her late thirtys of fortys and I would be all over her. Hey..... any of you out there in Portland????? | |

Forget talking to currently working strippers, talk to those 90 per cent or more who made some money for a while, but it RUINED THEIR LIFE. They learn to lie and be fake and objectify people and use them, eight hours a day for years and they get lazy and get this criminal, grifter, attitude. They get a huge hole in their employment history which they can't account for, making it hard to get out> They get addicted to the money, the attention, the drugs and alcohol, being allowed to be rude and act like a brat. They learn to compartmentalize and rationlalize virtually ANY behavior, so nothing's off the table morally. They develop sort of a grfter/criminal type of attitude and become using, manipulative addicts. A retred stripper is truly society's throwaway. I don't give a shite about the morality of nudity, the incidence or STD's, child molestattion or any of that crap that people get all wrapped up in debating about to miss the point.....and "the point" is that STRIPPING RUINS LIVES. To understand this fully, you have to see the end game of a typical stripper's careet. She is typically broke, addicted, with a host of social/physiological/ psychological problems and meanwhile the strip club owners are still looking for young women to "empower". Strippers who are currently working are typically in denial and delusion about what they are doing, supported in this by the other girls, the management, who promised them glamour, riches and love. The problem with stripping isn't STD's nudity, promiscuity, or prevalence of bad upbringings, it is that strippers are EXPLOITED PEOPLE. Don't date strippers, they only know how ti objectify you and use you, that's what the buisness teaches them, and they rarely shake that attitude. They are not bad people, but they are victims, and they present with problems that you don't want to have to take on. Go find someone from that 99.99% of women who have never fallen into that. | |

Posted: 5/20/2009 10:27:41 AM | I disagree that they are victims. They made a choice to enter that lifestyle. They either embraced it and got sucked into everything about it or they got the heck out. Perhaps the men who try to lure them are really the victims, because often those are the ones that get taken.
It is a horribly corruptive lifestyle, but a lifestyle one chooses in which to partake. | |

& no problem continuing dancing, if she really feels good & serious about it
as long as her heart is good, & when iam with her, she whispers only into my ear ..she loves me & vice-versa & we both really mean it ...there's no prob

well that's like talking about women in general, why there isn't women out there that do the same behind closed doors ?
but there are 2 types of strippers, those that allow them selves to get corrupted & corrupt others...again which happens with to "normal women" in normal society
& those that are normal, serious, smart women that like dancing & after there 8 hours shift as you say, they have perfectly normal lives
i didn't meet my Nicole in a strip joint, i met her on a ferry in Greece, she was on vacation !
she was the most generous person i have ever met ! & enjoyed life to an extreme | |

Posted: 5/21/2009 5:58:37 AM | Been there, done that. The only way I could see myself ever doing that again is if maybe I never was in there place of work when I met then. It always to me seems that if I went to a strip bar and I initially met them there they would try to take me for everything I had. I'm not saying all strippers are like this, but the ones I've encountered around here tend to be that way(at least towards me).
I think when it comes down to it, it's not the profession that counts, but it's the person in that profession. Unfortunately, I never met too many good ones. | |

How many of these women have their boyfriends drop them off and pick them up from work and hand over all of their money.
One night, we had a domestic call because when she handed over the money, he did not feel that she had made enough. Of course she didn't want a report or to do anything about it after having a man beat her.
I am a little too old right now, I think, but if I were going to bare my butt for bucks, you can be assured that I am not going to hand off my butt bucks to a man or anyone else. | |

They have a kid together, so that may be the reason they are together, because out of the blue he calls her slut, whore, and all kinds of names. She puts up with it though, and makes enough money to be on her own, so he must be pretty good in bed or she has a very low self esteem. | |

Posted: 7/13/2009 7:48:28 PM | It's funny, I found this thread googling the topic myself and I didn't even realize PoF had a forum, let alone I was reading a thread in a site I have used :)
Anywho, I am in a boat for this question and have been reading alot of the insight here. Went out last night to take my bro to his first gentlemen's club as he was in town visiting and left today, one girl came and sat next to him asking him if he wanted a dance, I just kinda stared in awe, she lost interest talking to him and pulled a chair up to me asking what kinda music I was into, everyday chit chat. I recognized an old poem quote on a tattoo of hers which intrigued her that I paid attention to the details of her, and that I knew her interest there.
She didn't once ask me if she could dance for me and when she had to go do her duty on stage or a guys lap, she always excused herself and came back and sat back down. I didn't give her any money other than a couple of singles for stage dances. She had asked where I hang out, as I told her I was still a bit new to town. She mentioned showing me around some time. At the end of the night she came over clothed to say goodbye and I asked if she wanted to some time, she asked me out this week, I was understanding of the danger and offered her my number and she said she shouldn't, but gave me hers instead.
So..seems like it could be a good one. We shall see soon I suppose. Wish me luck!

I'd think the ability to spot suckers would be very profitable for strippers. I'd hazard a guess the gal figured him for an easy mark after a few hundred dollars worth of lap dances...

not no, but HELL NO. most of my ex's where dancers, and no, i did not pick them up at their dance club. i guess dancers are attracted to tattooed individuals who innocently mind their own business at their preferred local bar, and they think all of them are crass or something. i'm not. i'm educated and damnit, i'm very sensitive.
