| She threw my car into park... Posted: 9/23/2009 12:32:52 PM | | You dont have to prove anything to anyone. I believe your story because I married a guy who had the near-same temper tantrum episode. There are some real whacked out people in this world. She probably thought she had you "in the bag" and could manipulate you and you would kiss her feet. Ahhhh well, live and learn... but really, you can take a down-to-earth, drama-free, simple woman and she can still look "high maintenance" because she is more confident in her womanhood - it's attitude... not high heels. | |

Oh absolutely! that was agreat episode but i think the coke bottle jet pack was better....

You have that slow of reflexes not to be capable of when someone is grabbing your keys, that you wouldn't be grabbing their hand. Of course you would! People reach out when they think something could fall or jerk forward. You would not be allowing her to just grab your shift, she could not shift it that fast before your reacted unless you were incredibly impaired driving
Ever been in a situation that took you by complete shock? You freeze. Maybe not everyone does, but i did. And yes, people do reach out when something could fall, but that's gravity, darlin. That is not what i described. Anyways, it happened lol. You can continue on in disbelief if you'd like...makes no difference.

| She threw my car into park... Posted: 9/23/2009 8:12:36 PM | | Why do y'all keep insisting he's lying-can't throw moving car into P from D? Have YOU ever tried it? Trust me, it really is possible, and really Would burn rubber too! Just hope you never have to do such a thing when all of a sudden you have no brakes. It's very scary! | |
|
| She threw my car into park... Posted: 9/23/2009 9:04:44 PM | | My sister's car got screwed up when I was a kid from some drunk friend of hers accidentally putting the car in park while driving. I'm not sure if you can on newer cars, but you could in a 80s cavalier. | |

| She threw my car into park... Posted: 9/23/2009 10:19:23 PM | | It's an interesting thing to know the truth of what happened that night (this actually happening), and reading the comments of those who don't believe it. Amazing how confident people can become in what they believe, and their willingness to call another person a liar. It's kinda gross actually. | |

| She threw my car into park... Posted: 9/24/2009 1:41:22 AM | I could be rude and say look at the age group Trevor of those replies but I'm not rude.
Or, i could simply say, dissing is fun and so the immature may venture that way but then that would be rude.
Or I could just say simply laugh? Why worry about it? You got the answers you wanted or didn't want on how to handle things next time and now sigh, lenghty pages after it turns, isn't that always the case? lol.
So, I will say do they read from page 1?
Anyways... you had so many twists and turns with this, it was funny in it's own way if you think about it..
Twas a good story thanks for sharing.

| She threw my car into park... Posted: 9/24/2009 5:19:13 AM | It's kinda gross actually.
Wrong. What is gross is your inability to deal with the situation immediately in a proper manner. No discipline, no action, and no response means no balls. Good job getting walked on in that situation.
Regardless if this is true or not, your journeys will never change, you're glued to the drama high maintenance women bring in your life.
It's an interesting thing to know what you would do if something like this happened again. Oh wait, you'll do nothing.

| She threw my car into park... Posted: 9/24/2009 6:58:58 AM | I'm going to have to side with the OP as to pulling the keys out of the ignition while the car is being driven. I own a 2001 Mazda Tribute and the keys slide in and out no matter what. The car could be in park, drive, reverse and at any speed. I found out by accident when my knee hit my low hanging key ring and the key just came out of the ignition, by the way I was on the freeway at the time.
As for the car being put into P from D I can't say because I haven't done it and don't plan on experimenting. I really don't see what the OP has to gain by lieing about it.
As for bagging on the guy for dating a co-worker - from; www.mamashealth.com/dating/coworker/marriage.asp - The study looked at the success of workplace dating and found that an estimated 44 percent of people who dated a co-worker eventually married the person. ...
www.dateordisaster.com/staff.html
It seems more and more people are getting into dating relationships with people they meet in ... Approximately 41 percent of Americans aged 25 years to 40 years have admitted to being involved in dating relationships with a co-worker. ...
So calling someone an IDIOT just because he dated a co-worker just doesn't seem right. It seems to me that it's not all that different than dating somebody from school or church. The only difference is the whole sue happy generation that started within the past 15 years or so. You go to a place on a very regular basis and as time goes by you get to know people on a more than generic meeting, (like say a dating site or blind date). The odds are just better that you will meet someone and get to know them and they will grow on you in a way that isn't that instant chemistry everyone seems to be looking for on a first meet.
Just some thoughts.

| She threw my car into park... Posted: 9/24/2009 7:08:15 AM | OP: High maintenance spoiled psycho is what she is. I'm surprised that in two months of dating her you did not see any red flags up until then. And you work with her too?! Now you have to face this nut case on a daily basis - awkward/dangerous! | |

| She threw my car into park... Posted: 9/24/2009 7:11:11 AM | This guy got close to 100 responses and comments from this storyline. Yes, I participated in a few.
Notice he never gave the make model or year of the car in question for those who know/knew something about how steering column interlocks work, how shift lever interlocks work, etc. NEVER came up with just a wee bit of FACTUAL information that we could ALL check out.
In mirroring his attentiongetting though(as an experiment) I must say with full on ego and pride that I was the ONLY one who got the narcissist to respond with several paragraphs straight from his attentiongetting egocentric place. His entire singular response was directed at ME. He didnt use any FACTS to back it all up, but resorted to behavior typical of his type.
I am standing now on the platform receiving my gold medal.
This stuff is GREAT onstage too. Thanks for the material folks

Dis me for knowing the impossibility of it, fine. Age has made me wiser to know little boys like to make up stories to get attention...

I did give that information, buddy. Perhaps spend more time reading my previous posts, rather than thinking of what you'd like to say next to satisfy your forum ego. I'll let you go through the comments and find it if you care to know.

| She threw my car into park... Posted: 9/24/2009 11:08:07 AM | In any event, she was a nutjob from the word go and glad you didn't cave in and buy her the shirt as that would've opened the floodgates for her to bleed you dry.
afashionlady summed it up well on the first page, she could have your job as all she has to say is sexual harassment and you'll be on the outside looking in. Relationships in the workplace don't work most of the time, so I'd tread carefully in future if I were you.

| She threw my car into park... Posted: 9/24/2009 11:20:53 AM | ibob: My thoughts exactly..transmission may not be showing signs now, but get that pan removed and checked for metal. If this IS true, it made a horrible sound at 45 mph. Maybe she turned the keys off and you automatically slammed on brakes. Then it was slammed into park. Other wise you would have a big bill on that tranny.
Warranty doesn't cover retard psycho operation by dates.
Then examine your head.
