Clean and freshly scubbed is divine.

Pears soap is my all time knee trembling scent on a man - how sad am I?
Eternity for men applied with a very gentle touch is quite nice too.

Never found another aftershave I could tolerate. The ex wore loadsa aftershave while I was preggers to avoid me and make covering up his affair easier . I literally threw up every time he hugged me, then blamed myself for our lack of nookie

Can't stand very strong aftershaves - sneezing my way thru the night is so NOT my idea of a hot date

Just don't over do it. I like women who wear nice perfume but some seem to completely cover themselves in cheap perfume causing a nauseous smell.

It depends on the man, i have a male friend who smells devine without any help yet others who definately smell better with aftershave.
I feel more confident when i wear nice perfume, but what i wear depends on my mood and where i am going, scents can change a mood instantly.

Like others have said, subtle is best, also it does taste horrid when you kiss a woman on the neck and she has sprayed/doused herself with it, yuch!

I'm quite sensitive to women's perfume, just walking through a department store can give me a headache and make me feel sick. It seems the more expensive they are the stronger my reaction to them.......Chanel is a definite no go area ....even perfumed deodorants can make me ill.

I once worked next to a girl who would douse herself every hour on the hour, I ended up having to ask to either have my desk moved, or for her not to do it......thankfully men's aftershave doesn't have any affect at all :)

There's an old-ish lady, who works in our local somerfield. She wears that Lily of the valley stuff, I think it's the most vile stench ever! If I go do my shopping, and find her on the checkout? I'll breathe in, hold my breath while trying to smile and say thank you. The person who invented that smell, needs stringing up! urgh vomitous maximus. As for myself, I like to wear clean smelling fragrances. Usually Hugo Boss, or another lovely one is Rapport. I tend to like perfume on ladies, that have a clean aroma rather than a fruity one.

I dont think so personally, there s nothing nicer than a lovely smelling guy.
And it does make you feel good when someone tells you that you smell nice.

the only problem with that Lulu is that perfumes react with individual body chemistry , so can smell totally different from person to person.

At the moment I tend to stick to Sactury Spa products...they smell wonderful, and the perfume spray is about the only one I can use without coming up in red whelts and itchy patches .

I tend to have dry skin so use a lot of moisturiser but one bloke hated it because of the taste, he was the same with perfume or anything really... was a big fan of just soap and nothing else.

I used to try and take it as a compliment that he preferred me without make up and perfume etc, but I'll admit it used to frustrate me that I had to either alter my habits to please him, or know that my efforts disappointed rather than pleased!

I have to be very careful which perfume I wear, I think I have acid skin or something cos what smells lovely on some can turn vile on me. Also very strong perfumes give me migraine and nausea. I absolutely love Chanel No 5m just a little dab here and there, it lasts ages and does not overpower. Have to hold my hand up to going weak at the knees when a guy wears Joop, several ex boyfriends wore it and I must equate it with a naughty time! lol

Splash a bit of Old Spice all over...Rub a bacon rasher under my armpits and i'm good to go!!

Well, either Old Spice or a ton of Brut, both awesome!

During my cab driving days, one of the worst things to happen would be to have a bunch of chicks in the car heading off on a night out..

I think some of the marinate themselves in it for the day, only to leap out at the last minute, throw some clothes on, spray another couple of litres for good measure and then jump in the cab........Multiply that by 4 and i was coughing and spluttering, eyes stinging within seconds......And then one of them pipes up

"Ooh, dont get any of your germs on me Mr. Taxi driver"

Sometimes, the mind boggles

Hai Karate is the one for me.

Luckily I bought a job lot of 136 cases of the stuff in a Kwik Save closing down sale in 1978.

I like a man to smell nice, something subtle with a hefty dash of pheremones usually

I hate walking past a woman whose perfume is so heavy it makes my eyes itch

Perfume should be subtle and enhance ones own essence, and as a previous poster said what smells great on one person smells like gnats wee on another.

Purrsonally I love Hypnose by Lancome ................. critics say it is not a 'stayer' but it will never render you unconscious

...........and what is it with the fact that some perfume smells lovely on someone else but not on you?? I used to really like the smell of Poison but on me, it smells like cat's wee.

Personally I love Givenchy gentleman on a guy, make me wanna .....mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

but for myself, Issey Miyake all the way...

I just tend to have a 'gentlemanly shake' before I go out and leave myself smelling au natural... it hasn't failed me yet! May be it's because I then don't walk around with "Desperado" written all over my forehead... I am relaxed for a reason you know

I am a bit of a tart when it comes to some after shave, I like to have a nice smell going on. The men who work in the toilets of clubs in Brighton/London/etc crack me up with some of their sayins, for example, "No splash, no gash"

I am partial to a little bit of body butter too

Why do women wear makeup and perfume?

Because they're ugly and they stink

Last time someone told me they thought I smelled (smelt) good was when I met a female friend pretty much from jumping out the bath, getting dried and dressed, with no perfume but rushing out the door and meeting up with her unexpectedly....

I have previously thanked others for the compliment as to how I smell.... and at the same time thought... well that would be the perfume that I sprayed earlier. Iknow that some perfumes can smell better on some than others.... but I do know that a natural aroma is so intoxicating... both on men I have known and from what people have said to me, about me.....
