There was some really awesome costumes at Waterford. I also meet some people that were POF'ers that didn't even sign up. You are going to be hosting one great party! | |

I thought about the best way to vote for Best Costume and keep coming back to ballot. How we can stop ballot stuffing is just go to the tables later that night and pass out ballots, have people vote right there and then, and collect them at the same time.
I figure if the three of us (you, Deb, and me) fan out we could cover the entire place relatively quickly. Making paper slips and having a few pencils is cheap.
Whaddya think C-Girl? | |

| Halloween at Mr. B's in Troy on 10-31-09 Posted: 10/27/2009 4:17:27 PM | Well we talked about that last night too. What I am thinking is to have a judging panel (the three of us + maybe 2 random partygoers who don't plan on entering the contest). We could pick what we think are the top 5 or 6 and then let the crowd pick the top 3 by noise and applause. This will keep us from having to deal with ballot-stuffing/ counting/ etc and also keep (what we think are) the nicest or most original costumes in the contest instead of just the most revealing (although don't get me wrong- those are very nice too). I was thinking of having everyone who wants to enter the contest up on the dance floor by... say.... 11:30ish for us to look them over, then have the "final" judging around midnight. I don't mind the ballot idea but the manager thinks it would be too easy for someone to say it was rigged, it would be difficult to narrow the voting field, and also they are not crazy about having all the paper and stuff to clean up so we thought this was a good compromise. Hopefully everyone will think this is a good way to do it. @:) | |

I'll be in "doctor" mode again so shouldn't be hard to find.
Linda, will you be in the same costume? Yours was great at O'Tooles.
