Hmmmmm let me see now would i prefer to go home with a man that I met at a pub and i have no idea about his sexual past, a guy i would have to chew his left arm off to sneak away from the next morning after leaving my fake name and telephone number. A man who probably did not get me from a - b but he definately did at which point he turned over and started snoring and farting for england or...
I could hire a guy for an hour a two who I know looks quite alright and will definately be getting me from a - b without worrying about him getting there too. Oh and definately no chance of being left with any nasty surprises or smells.

er, the hypothetical situation I described was to illustrate the fact that a woman can get sex whenever she wants. It doesn't happen of course because a woman doesn't need to advertise herself like that - the men come chasing anyway...for a man its different and thats why men go to prostitutes.

Thanks. As a female, I think I might know something about whether there is all this no strings sex on offer.
Firstly, I'm hardly likely to walk up to some random guy and demand a shag or stand in the middle of the pub and demand the same.
If you are quietly getting on with life, believe me, there are not hordes of men just wanting to sleep with you.

Posted: 10/8/2009 8:23:09 AM | fair enough, maybe I've exaggerated a bit and its not quite that easy and obviously you have to be in the right places - but I think its still generally men who do the chasing and I can't imagine any woman going to a nightclub or lively pub and not getting chatted up by at least one bloke during the course of the evening.
Its much more difficult for a man and thats why they go to prostitutes, its not rocket science. | |

Well, that would mean that in the last 4 years or so, I should have been chatted up around 200 times. Trust me, that isn't the case at all.
Its much more difficult for a man and thats why they go to prostitutes, its not rocket science.
There are a multitude of different reasons why men, including married, engaged, single and in a relationship type men visit prostitutes. It's not simply because they can't find someone to chat up. | |

That's a little unfair to be honest. I personally HATE going up to a stranger in a club or bar and starting up a conversation. The times I've been successful in this scenario are when I've been sat at a bar and a woman has come and sat next to me and started chatting, although when I say successful, there's nothing particularly successful about getting laid when you're pissed (from a performance perspective!).
None of us like rejection, or making a girl maybe feel uncomfortable by a random approach. Some of us don't think the feelings of attraction are always mutual, so we aren't so confident about making a move. The argument that we don't want to make an effort is totally wrong. We do, but we'd just prefer an opportunity that isn't so direct.
On the other hand, sometimes we get that feeling that we need it, kind-of now! So I can totally understand the appeal of Escorts in the context of going without for a long period of time. | |

No matter what folk say once you are in that position there is no cure. Our condition only changed i think when I stopped asking her and it took the pressure out of the relationship. But for me to do that i was seeing prostitues to vent my desires.
For those that can't relate to the feelings or being denied and refused on a continual basis or have the feeling that perhaps sex was used as a reward to alter behaviours or opinions well take it from me its a very very corrosive feeling to have in a relationship.
Am i proud of what i have done ? well i don't share i use prostitues with my social groups and doubt i ever will. Could you tell by looking at me i use prostitue, well no one ever has made a comment or clue they know i do.
What is perhaps obvious is that, there are very few on this board who actually know how it works between a punter and a prostitue. safe sex is a given but i guess like all things it depends where you shop | |

Women that use sex to control a relationship often find they are ignored and their partners are simply paying for it to have sex without the strings attached. Single guys are bored of the tiresome hoops you have to jump though to connect with a women. Held out like a carrot, rather as most men rate a natural, enjoyable but ultimately not that meaningful pastime.
I love sex, but it is cheapened by all the emotional blackmail that most women attach to it. | |
