For best food/airline, Wardair rules (a Canadian airline that disappeared a long time ago). Various Asian airlines (Cathay Pacific, Thai and Malay) are good, though Indian Airlines has surly flight attendants. I also like British Airways and KLM (maybe one of hte few that do).

Worst? Maybe its just the planes that get flown down to South America but American, Continental and Delta suck all around. In Ecuador, I was on a flight with Continental that was not only overbooked, but they let too many people on the plane. People were arguing over seats. On my latest flight to Bolivia the ancient American plane had seats that would have been uncomfortable for anyone over 5'4".

One thing all airline do not have is decent beer from a microbrewery. Bud sucks!

How about the Las Vegas airport, what is it like travelling through there or on their airplanes? Hope to see Las Vegas this year..

No one has mentioned the Munich, Germany, airport. The distances to walk are extensive but it is probably the only airport in the world with a Biergarten (beer garden), so nice and popular that even Munich residents around the airport go there. It's a bit out of the way (across from the Hilton), so you really have to ask to find it. Other restaurants also serve good food and beer, of course. The duty-free shops have nice selections, the smoking lounge is clean and well ventilated. However, contrary to many restaurants and other places in Munich, personnel at the airport is NOT PARTICULARLY FRIENDLY (to keep from saying "OUTRIGHT UNFRIENDLY.)

I flew out of Las Vegas once, and nothing struck me as good or bad either way.

The Munich airport was the only airport in the world at which I had been selected for "extreme" search... not a strip search, per se--- but dang near one, and right in public! They opened and rifled through all of my belongings, pulled me aside-- felt me up, down, all around... And they literally scowled at me the whole time, so "outright unfriendly" is an understatement!
