| Is senator Graham calling it like it is? Posted: 10/31/2009 9:16:11 AM | Whose lives did he destroy? Typical liberal rhetoric. And even if he did, aren't we all responsible for own happiness? But give me some names of lives he actually, personally destroyed?
Funny thing is that some of the people he tried to destroy, the Hollywood ten, Arthur Miller, Pete Seegers and many others, survived because they were talented writers and artists, despite having been blacklisted. They never had to live a life trying to justify to themselves having been informers, vulgar rats that named names in order to avoid being pressured financially like Elia Kazan did, or second rate actors naming names just to get their competitors out of the way like Ronald Reagan did.
The only lives that were really destroyed by McCarthyism were those of the informers whose names will be forever marked by the asterisk that says "stool pigeon"

Example: Realize that the current health care bill has a requirement BACKED BY FINES if you do not have Health Insurance!!! Realize that those of us who are retired military are already covered by the VA's health care...why do we need to be FORCED to pay for insurance that we do not need?? There's no loophole for us to use to avoid the FINE. So we ARE FORCED to carry Insurance for things that are already covered for FREE by the VA.
See the problem??
Do you have information that can better help us to understand what you are talking about?
If you would be forced to have insurance for services now provided by the VA, does that mean that the VA would no longer provide those services?
I haven't heard or read anything about any plan to do away with the VA. Then again, I am not the best informed person in all the details of the HCR bill.
I will appreciate your help understanding that issue.

As for the rest of your rant about liberals obviously you have McCarthyism down to a "science" {quote]Liberals love to whine and cry, McCarthyism, and feign outrage when confronted with the truth. It's why they run to the government and try and stifle free speech with Net Neutrality and The Fairness Doctrine. It's why their opinions always fail in the private sector because they're worthless. They need government support like with everything else. Any speech right of Mao for them is considered McCarthyism and treason.
Since the time of McCarthy, the word McCarthyism has entered American speech as a general term for a variety of practices: aggressively questioning a person's patriotism, making poorly supported accusations, using accusations of disloyalty to pressure a person to adhere to conformist politics or to discredit an opponent, subverting civil rights in the name of national security, and the use of demagoguery are all often referred to as McCarthyism

A watch dog that won"t stop barking. A weather siren that sounds "after" your home is decimated . A roster that crows at 10 am.
just annoying !
and then proceed to label others with stereotyping displaying such simple understandings of complex issues.
If it was simple ~ it'd been corrected by now. George would have fix it.
Our problems are complex and there is much at stake and a lot of "good honest people " that hang in the balance as we fight and claw our way out of this mess we find ourselves in.
Sound leadership is mindful of such things, poor leadership is not. ~ We have endured enough of poor leadership and now, today Obama is now your new leader. Where he will lead us out of this present state of affairs is not clear. He does not have complete control nor he should. Must of the same people that got us where we are at are still in "place" today.
When Obama does singles one out and sends him packing ~ it's viewed as a conspiracy , an attempt to advance a "liberal" program.
So it's damned if you do and damned if you don't. ~
bottom line ~ your not the President, you wasn't elected by a majority.
I had a hard time sitting still as Bush screwed up ~ I really did.
But I didn't reject him as the leader of this nation until he'd spent several years in office.
This crowed has rejected Obama from day one. January 23 rd 2009.
and they really can't offer you a sound reason why. Ask one, why! and all you get is trash talk.

But he lived on, making movies that mocked The HAUC, (McCarthy wasn't even a part of this committee) even accepting a film award in the US shortly before he died. William Shirer lived a long, and seemingly happy life. He was blacklisted for a time for his support of The Hollywood Ten but wrote the best book I have ever read on Nazi Germany (The Rise and Fall of the Third Reich). I think it was a set back but his life certainly wasn't destroyed. I love it when it when libs feign persecution and martyrdom. It's a joke and laughable. You guys made McCarthy out to be the boogie man in the closet and pushed this image on The American people. The VERONA transcripts show that McCarthy had reason to be worried. And the man was loved by The Kenndys. JFK even defended McCarthy once calling him a patriot and Alger Hiss a traitor. Pull your head out of your ass and maybe you'll see a little better.

| Is senator Graham calling it like it is? Posted: 11/1/2009 2:11:46 PM | ^^^ As far as Joe McCarthy being the hero of the extreme right-wing haters of today, it should be remembered that he wasn't able to prove most of his outlandish accusations against government employees in the State Department or in the Army.
Joe McCarthy was investigated for abuses of power, and was censured by the Senate.
That should be a lesson to all his contemporary followers that claim to love Liberty and Freedom so much that they will not stop themselves from trampling over the rights of innocent people. They will not care about the lives that they will destroy as long as they are profiting from their enterprise to destroy America with the false excuses of their love for freedom and liberty. The freedom and liberty that they want is the one that allows them the opportunity to fatten their wallets at the expense of the lives and future of millions of Americans.
Let's hope that more prominent Republican politicians can stop them, just like they stopped Joe McCarthy in the 1950s.

Anyone one can buy a PC and type ~ This is America, you are allow to exist with your thoughts and voice them. It's one of your many " personal rights" ~ you can be "wrong" for all your days. Until wish time it becomes a problem for others. Then they will send the guys in white suits and butterfly net out to chase you down, Your rights ends where my nose begins and there no need of discussing matters of state with someone with such twisted thoughts and notions.
I have but one word for you, Zanex ~ get yourself "fixed" the stuff works! and tell Beck , he needs to stay off the nose candy, personality flares are becoming all to common.
Zanex Zanex is a common misspelling of Xanax (alprazolam). What is Xanax (Zanex)?
Xanax (Zanex) tablets are used for the management of anxiety disorder or the short-term relief of symptoms of anxiety. Anxiety or tension associated with the stress of everyday life usually does not require treatment with Xanax (Zanex). Anxiety associated with depression is responsive to Xanax (Zanex).
Xanax (Zanex) is also used for the treatment of panic disorder, with or without agoraphobia.

Precisely! I think the biggest thing that the GOP has missed is the number of Republicans that didn't vote for their candidate in the last few elections. The lack of substance in their campaigns (all negative about the "0ther guys" all the time, no discussion of their own policies and why they believe them to be the best policies, etc.) and the overall tone of mistrust, fear, and hatred are pushing significant numbers of their own voters away.
It's not that tones of mistrust, fear, and hatred are exclusive to the GOP, it's that they've made it their exclusive platform and it turns off those that aren't so rabid continuing to turn away more and more the lesser "right" of their base.

Someone should Kick this Loud Mouth Bully's A$$
I'd be skeptical about the accuracy from Rush since it's know he doesn't validate his sources or stories he talks about ala the Obama college thesis hoax. What a tool.
|
| Is senator Graham calling it like it is? Posted: 11/2/2009 7:53:57 PM | Interesting turn of events ~
Rush is the one headed for extinction, if you ask me.
It's seems some politician are being torn ~ I see this as a good thing ~
More like a David Letterman , "Float or No Float" Quiz. We will "know" soon and there will be no doubt.
Bad thoughts are negative to nature and a "drain" to life itself.
How anyone might find "goodness" in Rush's vial commentary eludes me.
He's been calling down the thunder for sometime now, it's just a matter of time
and static currents will neturalize and he will burn between to opposing forces. Toast
Maybe he'll pop a gasket and spend the rest of his days much like Flint or George Wallace.
I'd not wish that on him ~ for that would be "like him" negative thoughts. ~
I suppose the far right thinks they are going to convert everyone or they are going to "force" their ideas on everyone somehow. I don't see that happening anytime soon.
So how they plan on winning elections without cheating ~ I'm not sure.
You've got to look for the good in this world ~ the bad has never been hard to find.
I don't think that Rush and the far right would know what good is. Even If they had their way ~ it'd never be good enough. They'd be looking for something to hate. They are mad because they were born, the whole life experience thing has pissed them off. And they insist that you be pissed to! But I don't make a living being pissed or pissing someone off. In fact ~ it would kill my hopes of ever doing well or having anything if I thought and acted as he.
Resolve and resolution is what makes things together and happen. I don't see this far right making any steps my direction on such matters. I get the feeling they deny me life itself if it were possible and in their power. From this I deduct I have an enemy that calls itself Americans.
My position is only a response to their threaten manner. This is what Rush has done for America and Americans.
Am I alone with such thoughts?

The Quite Majority is not impressed with grandstanding and hate.
Graham & Others are stuck... watching the Republician party circle the drain....
IMO Rush is not stable....(Drugs?).....
He is a Front man, spokes person for the Republican Party........ An Elmer Gantry ?
His ditto heads must not pay attention.
One week he rants about a couple of statements He didn't make........ Statements no worse than a zillion others he did make............
Limbaugh tore into the reporters for not properly sourcing the alleged quotes and questioned their professionalism. "And these are the people that tell us that they are the professionals, that they're the ones we should trust to weed out what's garbage and what's not garbage in the sewer they say that is the Internet? They are the sewer," he said. "They are the sewer, and they are in the midst of it. They are waste, and they are promulgating waste all over the place." Limbaugh accused the media of repeating fabricated statements because "it fits their already prejudiced agenda." He is demanding that each of the media outlets produce the source of the alleged quotes and explain where they got them, or produce a retraction and apology. "They ought to be ashamed of themselves, to call themselves professionals," he said. "They're nothing but hacks. ... These people are scum. They are literally professional scum, and they're responsible in many ways for the deteriorating standards and quality of journalism." http://www.wnd.com/index.php?pageId=112839
The next week he quotes a Fake Obama College thesis... When exposed a fraud ...
Limbaugh says he doesn't care if thesis quotes are fake, "I know Obama thinks it." October 23 show.......
I have to ask myself who listens to this crap? Some believe him.... Posting his rants as fact....
The minority party.... is being purged... Social RIGHT ONLY........
Some compare the Tea Baggers to Stalinist.... "the John Birch Society’s “ruthless prosecution” of its own ideological war often mimicked the tactics of its Communist enemies. "
The money........... from the same people that backed the Bankers Coup 1933, Banks, Bullets, Bombs, and Oil...........

If we're just a faction Obama should sweep Virgina, NJ, and New York, right? Two of these states are very liberal and Obama won Virgina by a wide margin. You combine that with these so called crazies on the right pissing everybody off, and the left should cruise to an easy victory.
And if it doesn't--what does that mean? That people are so dissatisfied with Obama that they will join with us crazy right wingers? Hmmmmmm, maybe the Tea Party movement is bigger than liberals like to think it is. Maybe everyday average Americans who actually pay the bills in this country without complaining are fed up.
I know, I know, it doesn't fit with what Daily Kos and MSNBC has told you: the Right is dead; the Republican Party is dead; the age of big government and destroying what's left of liberty is finally here!
And you jokers thought it would be that easy to stomp out the flame of liberty.

Virginia like South Carolina ~ enjoys a lot of Federal money being dumped into the state. They like status quo and hate change. If the GOP loses Virginia it would truly be a major upset.

| Is senator Graham calling it like it is? Posted: 11/3/2009 5:47:44 PM | Sorry, Dance, but the GOP has retaken Virginia. Man, for a party so hijacked by the far right (like the Democrats haven't been hijacked by moveon.org and the Pelosi gang of left wing thugs)I can't believe this state would turn a Republican Governor.
Not that I really care about the GOP. They talk tough when campaigning but act like Democrats when governing.

| Is senator Graham calling it like it is? Posted: 11/3/2009 9:28:49 PM | this has nothing to do with a party that has been taken over by zealots and abandoned it's core principals. ~
The weather was nasty and only the die hard core right bothered to get out ~ The seniors that don't work and have nothing to do but vote early morning . They got out the vote! That's all they had to do today besides watch TV between their feet and watch for the mailman and meals on wheels.
But if you wish believe differently ~ and it makes you feel better and validates your thinking ~ ~ good for you.
Don't get me wrong ~ it is a disappointment that complacency ruled the day. And some thought it wasn't that important ~ that they send the administration DNC governors and mayors.
But most Governors around the country regardless of political affiliation are greatly appreciative of what help the Fed has afford them and support the administrations efforts.
But this don't change much ~ only offering you a perceive victory ~ I think you needed one.
Even a blind hog manages to find an acorn from time to time.
But you need to make up your mind what party you wish to support ~ It sound to me like you hate them all but the GOP least. And like you said , Obama is not your president, so I wonder if you are even an American. For he is the duly elected president by the people of these here United States of America.

WHOA ..Lets call the kettle black . You don't look like a spring chicken to me.
You must be upset so you resort to attacking the old. Another liberal tactic ? I guess their are no liberal old people. That must mean you will be a conservative when you hit 65. When you get to 65 enjoy the right side.
