| Halloween Posted: 10/5/2009 8:40:45 PM | What does PVC stand for?
I honestly do not know.
What I do know is that there is this really hawt artist posting in these threads.
|
| Halloween Posted: 10/5/2009 9:17:15 PM | PVC = Polyvinyl chloride . PVC has become widely used in clothing, to either create a leather-like material or at times simply for the effect of PVC. PVC clothing is common in Goth, Punk, alternative fashions, and Fetish wear. PVC is cheaper than rubber, leather, and latex and so it is more widely available and worn.
PVC fabric has a sheen to it and is waterproof. It is commonly used in coats, jackets, aprons, and bags because of this. It is also used to make pipe, electrical covering for wire and many more applications . .

| Halloween Posted: 10/7/2009 11:17:49 AM | My costume this year is a ladybug...for dress up day at work on Friday
I have no plans on Saturday, but I will be celebrating on Friday, with a wine tasting event then a night of dancing to a great live band with a friend...not in costume however, as I think a wine tasting might be a little too high class for bouncy headband antennae!

What are your plans? Staying in, watching some scary movies and handing out candy, or partying it up? My plan is to "swing" through the streets of my hometown and see what what happens... I love surprises and people...

| Halloween Posted: 10/8/2009 4:57:31 AM | Just realized I will be on the road that night working to keep our city safe from the troublemakers that take advantage of Halloween by smashing windows, setting fires, spreading graffiti, etc. ... not that it doesn't happen on other nights too. Guess I won't be staying home & handing out candy after all.
Aww shucks ... that means I have to eat all those chocolate bars I bought by myself.
|
| Halloween Posted: 10/8/2009 9:17:26 AM | Don't worry FunnyAndSweet48 the POF pumpkin patrol will be over to eat your candy. We already know your sweet enough . And be safe out there Halloween night . Hate to see you eaten by a goblin. hehehe | |

| Halloween Posted: 10/11/2009 12:32:08 PM | yabbdabbadoo, they're not that expensive. $14 plus shipping equates to around $20 and they ship fast. The website is www.vampfangs.com They have a lot of other neat things on it too. :) If your kid has straight teeth and smaller sized canines, the "small" or "subtle" (can't recall which one they're labeled as) will work great. My canines already have a point to them and they're slightly longer to begin with, so the subtle ones aren't actually all that noticeable on me.
Interestingly enough, Scarecrow (the maker of these fangs) supplied fangs for movies such as Underworld:Evolution and a few others I can't remember off hand. The product is really easy to use and they DO stay on and you CAN talk with them, albeit with a very slight almost unheard lisp. Plus, they last a long time (provided you don't lose them like I have lol).
There are also the flexible veneers that are really cool as well. I think they're a bit more expensive but they are amazing looking.
:)
As for me, the store in Seattle didn't have any pirate wench costumes left :( no idea what i'm going to do now.

| Halloween Posted: 10/31/2009 2:35:10 PM | I normally don't do stuff for Halloween, but this year I was thinking it would be good to do Something, and it just so happens that Halloween snuck up on me this here and i don't have my act together at all
One thing I was thinking would be fun to scare people with would be to anchor myself to the top of a building, and stand on the edge yelling "I'll do it! I'll jump!" then free fall a few meters and get caught by a rope. I've got the anchoring stuff, a good rope for it, and a harness, but no building or appropriate venue. The lost souls parade sounds like it would have been an awesome place to try it at, but alas, it isn't meant to be.
Just a few minutes ago my house mate walks into my room and says "do you want to see women in corsets and bright lipstick, sword swallowing and fire eating? we could go to a burlesque show". Me oh my, I think this is going to be a winning plan we have on our hands.
I just need to find something to wear in the next couple hours that doesn't look like an eye sore. I'm thinking a smug french poet would hit the spot but alas, where can I find a beret? Or any other good costume supplies for that matter.
Any suggestions on a place for last minute costume shopping?

| Halloween Posted: 10/31/2009 3:02:53 PM | I toyed with the idea of going to a local party as a eagle.
I couldn't decide if I should a) shave my head, or b) borrow a couple of soccer balls. The latter choice might have made dancing awkward.
When I couldn't find any suitable feathers I gave up on the whole notion and if I go I'll be dressed for dancing, without costume.
Have fun and safe Halloween everyone!
