NappyKat, feel free to disagree with me. Simple anatomy texts will support what I'm about to say. I didn't say there was NO sensation in the rest of the vagina. I said the nerves are more concentrated in the lower 2-3".

The internal walls of the vagina itself do not have a great supply of nerve endings, thus are not very sensitive to touch. The outer one-third of the vagina, especially near the opening, contains nearly 90 percent of the vaginal nerve endings and therefore is much more sensitive to touch than the inner two-thirds of the vaginal barrel.
I've always wondered about this, because it doesn't seem to make much sense to me. I can feel much more than 2-3" inside my vagina. Even if this was true, wouldn't a longer penis be better as you'd have more surface area friction on each stroke? Then I read nappykat's post, and read something I already knew, but now it made sense... But when aroused, these same vaginas can lengthen (meaning the cervix moves further back) and deepen (get wider)
Yes. Most vaginas at rest measure in at around 4". Once arousal occurs it can lengthen and widen up to twice it's *at rest* size.
A longer penis will have more length to use, but the majority of the sensations (in most women) occur at the vaginal opening, not deeper in the vagina, so it wouldn't really make a difference. Long, slow strokes will feel the same until he hits the end of what he has to work with. I've had a 9-10" and plenty of 6-8" and several 5-6"... and I'll take the mid to smaller penises over the monsters any day. Having my cervix pounded is not comfortable. | |
