Don't think there's a limit until I find a venue and I'm waiting for responses from two of them. Yes to the brave men...prolly cuz Chef is male and they'll have some company. BUt then again, some of the evolved ones realize if they help out in the kitchen, the bedroom could be spicy.

Isn't it weird how we all see "wine" as being so classy versus say a beer or a shot of JD? And indeed, you did sell wine man..LOL, and beer.

BTW, there is a new wine bar in Mission man..seeing I still owe you a couple of beers from when you came by in E Town, I'll be happy to repay you with some Merlot LOL. (boy when Tall n Curvy reads this she'll REALLY be raising an eyebrow)

But back to the topic of cooking. I've found those freebie newspapers have recipes in them that you can make in 20 minutes. No classes required.

You bet Tall n Curvy will expect lots now-just you wait!
OT-classes are so much fun. It is sooo boring cooking alone for 1 !!!
OP_I don't know about spice in the bedroom-all of mine are in the kitchen!

NO PEPPERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

AE, I said I sold wine, but I drink beer. Haha. At the chance of being T&C fodder, yeah we do need to get together. It has been a while. Then we could stare at all the women in short skirts and pass idle judgments against them as per the other thread you are posting in.

Looks like the damage deposit will cause untimely demise of this event. $600 plus the rental fee. Can't swing that but if anyone has suggestions on a site, lemme know.

Most indicated between 20 and $30 for a night that included the lesson and the meal but only 5-6 showed interest. Rental was approximately $250 for 4 hours but its the deposit that's the killer.

Chef says he can work for about $20 per person and as long as most equipment isn't very old and enough place to actually prep food (with others participating) he's good to go.

If the offer of your place is still available, next thought... pic a mid November date.

Does the group have a specific day or time??? I don't think Grey Cup weekend would work! How about Saturday the 14th???-in the afteroon??? Some of the equipment is old as it was used by my aunt in her restaurant!!! Still OK for cooking in those pots.

I'll suggest the date to Chef...don't think he's a football fan (hockey is another story) so he just might be available.

Anyone else got a problem with November 14?

Told chef where you lived and the proposed date, but he hasnt' answered me. As soon as I get the date, I'll start an event thread. Should I say its a max of 7 participants, plus chef, would be 8 at the dinner table?

Beyond doing this stuff, SAIT offers 3 hour seminars on certain types of cooking. It's listed under culinary arts in the continuing education section. That's another option for a get together though they cost about 90 bucks.

I took a few of these at a college in Ontario and they're pretty good. Sort of a primer to give you that base information on how to make things.

I like this idea and reasonable cost too! Never heard of it before. Is that a better option for most? I'd be up for it.
