If there's chemistry and atraction between two people I see nothing wrong with it,I certainly wouldn't kiss someone I wasn't attracted to .Sometimes it happens, most of the time it doesn't......:-)for me anyways, don't know about the rest of the population.

There is no written rule to that...if it feels right for both of you ... go for it. But in case she says she doesn't kiss on a first date... you have to be patient to find out if she is interested, on the second date. If she goes out with you on that second date, you know she ment what she said " no kissing on the first date". Go for it...

kissing on the first date?

If there is a mutual attraction, by all means. But if there isn't a "reason", I'm not gonna give up the smacky-lip just for the heckuvit. I'm not going to force myself on any woman (may prove to be fatal) and do not want someone to try to force themselves on me.

Gotta be some attraction there for romance to happen, else I'm just finding a reason to get chapped lips for nothing.

I have even been known to kiss their mother !! With no tongue of course,
hey it's only the first date !

I don't think I have ever been declined, even from my date.

Sure, if there's a vibe, definitely. If not, I'll most likely give a little kiss on the cheek or nothing at all. It depends on how well the date went and moods and everything.

When I met the last guy I dated we went to a local bar and had a few drinks. I guess about an hour into it I just turned and kissed him. It was so cute he looked shocked and couldn't talk. Kissing is a big thing to me. If they can't kiss they have to go. I like to find out right away. But like others have said there has to be a connection first.

YES ...of course / unless the date went badly or the person is not what you are looking for at all .... why not / It can be a friendly peck on the cheek ... a nice kiss on the lips .... a somewhat more intense kiss on the mouth .... or even a knock your socks off slobber everywhere wow they're comming back for sure kiss ... any of the above guidelines are acceptable depending on the situation and are soooooooooo much better than leaving with a wave or an impersonal handshake or a cold door closing in the face.

I'd say yes, depending on attraction level on both sides.

Don't try to read so much into things, we women aren't really that complicated.

Oh, come on!!!! You women were born to be complicated and to complicate things for we men -- admit it! We wouldn't have it any other way, it seems.

But, back to kissing, first dates and all that ... If I find a woman really attractive and think there is a chance we might hit it off bigtime, I will definitely want to kiss her on the first date -- on the lips, even if only briefly -- and will be looking for the opportunity to do so. If I thought that she was moderately attractive and a MAYBE as a longterm partner, I'd probably kiss her on the cheek at least. If she refused me in either case, I'd reassess the situation, ie, if she balks at even a brief kiss on the lips, I know she's not feeling the same way I am. Maybe she would in the future, maybe she wouldn't. Either way, I'm probably out of there. Like the song says, "if you wanna know ... if he loves you so ... it's in his kiss." It applies to both genders.

hrm...depends on the guy, I think in all the first dates I've been on, roughly 3% or less were first-date kissed. Usually it's a handshake or the old reliable hug.

So, ladies ... no kiss on the first date ... does that mean the guy probably goes on the "friend" list -- either because he wasn't attractive enough to kiss or bold enough to take the initiative and kiss you or ...?

Hello, how is everyone? Is it ok to kiss on the first date? I can only say that there's nothing wrong with it. It all depends if there is that spark of attraction, the place, and what the people are doing. That's all I can say.

If the connection is there, YES, I kiss on the first date. If the connection isn't there, I don't waste his or my time by bothering with a second date. For me, either the chemistry is there or it isn't.

If there isn't a kiss--and it doesn't have to be a sloppy, wet, hang-your-clothes-out-to-dry kiss--then most likely we didn't click.

women are so complicated , they never want to kiss on the first date , secon , third or forth , then I become the good friend and no chance to date .

I paid a girl once to make out with me , it was one of the best 20 bucks I ever spent , hehehe, really

If you show someone too early on that you like them, then your attractiveness plummets. Unfortunately, despite most people's belief that they're sufficiently evolved to be beyond playing psychological games, it is human nature to desire that which is seemingly unattainable.
