One of those infamous typos? Though at 52 he could have, just barely, been in at the tail end of Vietnam. But all the vets I've known with serious PTSD problems are at least 10 years or more older.
Edit to add:
As for moving, yes, within reason. I like the state where I live, but since I haven't been here all that long and I'm retired, I'd be open to moving elsewhere in the state. Not in the hope of meeting someone, just if I actually met someone and it seemed to work out, but that's a different story.

We get so set in our ways that we aren't able to compromise very much anymore. We know what we like to do... and what we don't like to do. And we're always right.

Yes you can just take someone to be with them and be grumpy for the rest of your years , A person needs to go with the flow and if there are no jobs around to survive on then yes you need to move and in that new area you might or might not find that person and have the Cinderella story ending .

I wanted to move to Florida in 1998 but everyone was against it...I am hoping I can move next year...not cause there are more men but away from so many bad memories.

Like you, Ms. Sapph ...I wouldn't do this to meet more men. I'd be re-locating for the Vitamin D in sunshine and the occasional margarita.... At my age, "wobbly pops" are more enjoyable, than a man with "wobbly bits" ....if ya' know what I mean.

| Location, location Posted: 10/24/2009 6:05:45 AM | hmmmm? I thought medical studies have cited that men who imbibe in " a few" margaritas or any other alcohol-based drink, for the matter, can have stiffening problems? Resolve or not. Of course, location could be a factor in a man's response.........sun, surf , half-naked bodies and all that......can contribute to what goes on in his head. | |

I know that, by doing this, you both would be making big sacrifices in the name of medical research soooo, would this be called a double blind study?

Depends on how many margaritas get drunk...

This is a good thing. Also, old fashioned family values are stronger in NS than in many places. A lot of more urban people feel they should change partners like they change socks...or if hard times hit them, they should chop their partner off and find someone "more stable"...rather than riding it out. You'll find someone. Perhaps close...perhaps not. But someone is out there. Good luck.

I read profiles which stipulate that a prospective paramour must live "within 75 miles"...
Why impose such limits upon ourselves?...
Your true love may be only 7.5 meters away; in the house next to the house next door... Lucky you...
But what if he or she is 7.5 light years distant?... Does it matter?..

Silver Surfer - I've always been fascinated with the UK. How about we just trade places? Funny you should say that. I was just thinking the other day how I would like to do a swap with another line dance instructor. He or she would come and stay in my place and take on my classes while I go over there and take on their classes... a bit like the tv prog. 'wife swap'... but it would be 'Life swap'.... a bit too much to ask for?
