OP, this is the difference between a 24 year old girl and a 24 year old woman.
A 24 year old woman realizes that after a period of time, she has to trust a man that she is in a relationship with. However, she is able to tell through discussions between the two of them that he is a man of character. She knows that by putting that trust out there that she might be heartbroken over time, but she knows the chance for love is worth it.
A 24 year old girl doesn't realize anything in the previous paragraph and thus asks others about the validity of their boyfriends.

1) He is married/has a girlfriend and every time he thinks he can meet you, his SO gets suspicious,
2) He isn't really ready for a relationship at this time (for a myriad of reasons),
3) You're always plan B for date night - and none of his plan A's have cancelled yet,
4) He isn't what he says he is (like you are inferring),
... etc., etc., etc.
Move on with your life.
