Comprehensive plans with regard to illegal immigrants doesn't necessarily equal 'amnesty'.
Lets connect the dots. Obama claims that the govt health care plan will not cover illegal immigrants. Then he says there will be comprehensive immigration reform.
Once he makes the illegals legal, THEN they will get govt health care.
It's not rocket science. He usually tells people flat out what his plans are. This is what Grouch Marx referred to as a "mockery of a sham". | |

As a 'student of history', surely you know what happens when one is not quoted correctly.
Obama has said that we need to focus on the illegal aliens issue--I don't recall him saying that 'there will be' comprehensive immigration reform.
It's one of the things that he's asking for, but has issued no edict with regard to the problem.

"The House of Representatives has appropriated $2.04 billion in military aid to Israel for next year (up from $1.98 billion this year) in addition to $840 million in economic support funds. The total amount of US aid of this sort has been constant, at around $3 billion, for many years, but there is a current ten year plan to phase out economic aid and provide corresponding increases in military aid."
FY2009 Obama administration has proposed around $130 billion in additional funding for the Iraq War and Afghanistan. Down 50B from FY2008.

It is rather naive to think that this or any other president never lied.
Hell even Lincoln said and did some questionable things.
Didn't Obama say that if the so called stimulus bill would cap unemployment at 9%? It is now 10%.
Did he lie or was that just hyperbole or a bad estimate?
In the Sept 9 address he said his door was open t0 health care reform but the Republican plan has not been given a hearing since July. Was that lying?
If anyone thinks a president can go through a 4 year term without lying, they need a reality break, fast before they buy the Brooklyn bridge. | |

First of all, we've already been over all that anti-Semitism sh*t ... (he forgets so easily) ... remember, one has to say something "Anti-Jew" in order to classify it as "Anti-Semitism" and I did no such thing.
Note the statement was made in answer to:
... we don't have the money to pay for it whether it covers illegals or not.
So in addition to others, I said we should stop sending Israel money ... "That would save us some cash to spend on our own citizens ... eh?" And that's true ... nothing wrong with saying something like that. Israel has had their hands in our pockets long enough ... now it's time to start spending that money on our own citizens. There's also nothing wrong with that thinking.
I also said:
There are just a few minor changes we could make and there would be plenty for our own citizens ...
**... just have to stop going to war with other nations ...
**... stop illegally invading sovereign nations ... And all of that is just being honest. We squander a lot of money on those wars ... money that would be better spent on our own citizens.

As far as I know President OBAMA did not say that.
I said that in response to a poster who has been insisting that all "anchor babies" be kept here and put up for adoption and the mothers sent back to their home countries. Being a mother myself, and one that breastfed, I can't imagine how I would feel if someone came in and just snatched my baby away from me to put up for adoption and send me away.
But that was nothing more than my answer to what a poster said about deporting all "illegals".

I just did and the first thing that jumped out at me was that it states that the plan is only for legal citizens of the US. But doesn't say how they will prove that they are legal. So based upon what I have read in the forums - They Lie! The Republicans have no enforcement plan therefore they plan on giving healthcare to illegal aliens.
Secondly John Boehner doesn't even seem aware of this plan. Just this week I heard him say that the republicans have 7 or 8 ideas on healthcare but never mentioned hr 3400. | |
