| What is/was your dream? Posted: 10/25/2009 7:55:58 AM | | The idea of flying is always appealing. Guy Clark wrote a great song called "The Cape" that always reminded me of those child hood dreams. You can hear it on YouTube. | |

| What is/was your dream? Posted: 10/25/2009 8:57:07 AM | My dream always has and still is to be an overbearing, total ego power trip POF forum moderator. I am working very hard and diligently at it and one day I am sure my dream will be realized......

| What is/was your dream? Posted: 10/25/2009 9:46:57 AM | I always wanted to be a writer without all the hard work of course. It was easier being a laborer. When I was young I still had some grammer smarts, now my grammer stinks. But after all these years and way too many beers I have a small writing job an editor and a very small allowance. | |

| What is/was your dream? Posted: 10/25/2009 1:52:07 PM | I remember SEVERAL children who wanted to fly "for reals" ... my sister put on a towel cape and decided to "fly" off the very high roof of our garage ... I convinced her that it would be safer to START by flying off the top of a high outdoor parakeet cage with a metal corregated roof ... but I still kept telling her she couldn't really fly ... she was just soooo convinced that she could fly ... cuz she'd dreamed it the night before and it seemed real ...
on the way flying (straight downward), she ripped a large gash out of her forearm ... it didn't hurt ... she and I stood there, watching the open wound fill with blood ... I dumped it out ... turned her arm back over ... and it filled again ...
suddenly, she realized she was injured and THEN it started to hurt! our grandmother was "watching" us because our mother was at a hospital having our little sister ...
by the time we got to the house, my sister was screaming ... and Grandma had to get a taxi to take us to the hospital to get my sister's arm stitched up! our parents were sure surprised when we arrived at the hospital!
as soon as we got back home, my sister was ready to try flying again ...

| What is/was your dream? Posted: 10/26/2009 4:31:34 PM | | Was my dream? Rockstar!....then fell into a 30 year career in electronic engineering and horrible 15 year marriage....what is my dream? Just one more shot at love, and a new self sustaining career where I don't have the paranoia of being layed off all the time......yeah I know, I have work to do, at least one is obtainable..... | |
|
| What is/was your dream? Posted: 10/26/2009 6:13:39 PM | ooohhh ... I LIKE Rickxyz' dream of one more shot at love ...
the "self sustaining career" etc. ... THAT mite be the more difficult dream to attain!
I've got a job as long as the business exists! and some months, it's hard to believe we're going to go on for another month! but, all in all ... last year wasn't so bad and I do think we're picking up!
good dreams ... I'd like one more shot at love ... sounds good to me!

| What is/was your dream? Posted: 10/28/2009 7:34:01 PM | AceOfSpace: "If you could be doing anything you wanted to with the rest of your life, what would it be?"
hmmmmm ... my FIRST thot was ... "I would be trying to figure out how to spend my billions of millions of kabillions of dollars!" I think I could find that entertaining for quite a while!
or maybe living in an accepting, loving environment where EVERYONE ... (every single one) ... does NOT focus on fearing and hating their fellow men's differences but, instead, cherishes these differences ... where we all love each other AND our little flaws ...
I can already hear the sound of dissent ... "well, maybe I could love THIS group of people but I could certainly not love THAT kind of person ... certainly, you didn't mean to include THESE people over HERE!"
ok ... we'll live in love, peace and harmony ... AFTER we discover what happened to the unicorns ... find Atlantis ... the Holy Grail ... and other mysteries of the Universe.
so ... what would I be? maybe happy with what I have?!

| What is/was your dream? Posted: 11/5/2009 9:18:12 PM | | That what Dr. Seuss had said.....you know you're really happy when your life is better than your dreams. I'm getting close....but I dream big with my eyes open and closed. Staying next to an active Volcano...rocks flying out and all, howler monkeys...fire flies.....that was deep.....and has effected my mind to this day. That was never a dream, until I made it one on short notice.......and to this day I still often dream of it...and look at my pictures...I first visited the area in 2005.....but I haven't been there in about a year!! LOL!! | |
