I have absolutely no respect for people who knowingly poach another's mate and I have a strong sense that they just weren't raised properly......perhaps something just was missed in their childhood.

I see it as a type of sociopathic behavior.

As for the poachee, well they were looking to move on..........so graciously let them go, but don't play the fool a second time.

I agree razzle,,,,,,,,,,ppl who poach don't even know why they do it. They are ususally women,,and it's about the competetion, I'd like to look in their past an see who they are trying so desperately to win against. As far as punishment by karma,,well,,that's subjective. I believe ppl are punished by who they are. I mean,,think about it,,,how fulfilled is a person who is only attracted to someone who is willing to cheat? Even if they don't ever know what they are missing? I never compete for men,,,like me,,or don't,,,and if you don't,,,,,,,,move on, buddy,,you're in the way of what is for me.

As far as people who cheat,,I can't figure that one out yet. We have a have your cake and eat it too society,,,,,,,,,,,lots of low self esteem,,,,,,,,and a lot of monkey see,,monkey do men. Most cheaters I find,,know other men who cheat and follow their example.
They often travel in packs.
I don't notice the women,,,,,,,it doesn't affect me,,I just look down on them. Cheaters are low league.
Other than that,,I got nuttin.

So,,,,what to do about it? Nothing. Move on,,find something better,,,and for god's sake don't take them back. Be a big girl, put on your big girl panties,,,know you found a loser,,,,,,,,,,and ditch him,and HER. He isn't good enough ,,,,SHE isn't your friend. It'll hurt for a while,,,,,,,but it does go away.
After all,,,,,this situation is about winning,,,and what did she win,,,,,,,,,a man who cheats,,,good luck with that.

I'm not sure why a college study decided that a "new term" is needed to describe this behavior?

What's wrong with continuing to call these women "home-wrecking tamps" as in the past?

Ha ha ha,,,,,,,,,,,,
Because we are a society of "definitions". Friends with benefits,,swingers or lifestylers, single but not available, mate poachers, players,,etc,,etc.,,etc.

But,,same crap,,different era.
Funny how,,,even though the definitions have changed,,,,the mess made is still the same.

We are not getting smarter,,,we are getting more openly stupid.
