If the particular package you happen to be sporting has some fat on it then that's just a coincidence.
Fat doesn't make you sexy or not sexy.
Gaining or losing a few pounds won't make or break your sexiness.
Who you are determines your sexiness.
If they are ONLY interested in your fat then it's a fetish.
If it is compulsory or mandatory that you be fat to turn them on then it is a fetish.
If you are secondary to you fat then it is a fetish.
Now if you are talking body type 'preferences' that's another story.
For a woman fat makes for a more comfortable ride and more cushion for cuddling.
Same thing for a man. I don't want to collapse onto a brick wall or a pile of bones.
Some meat and muscle is mmmmmmmmmm good.
Everyone has their own preferences.
I have a preference for green-eyed men but I've fallen in love with a brown-eyed man so it is simply a preference for me and not a fetish.
After reading 98% of the men on here saying they don't want me, how do you think that makes me feel? (this is just an observation for you to think about - it's not a whine from me, btw).
It's all in your perspective and what you choose to take in from these message boards.
Your profile says you want a man with a similar body type and that physical attraction is important to you.
So how is that any different from a man stating his preference for whatever he is attracted to?
in a society that says fat is unattractive, there are still men who equate fat as sexy.
And just because society seems to think that reality television is entertaining doesn't make it so.
One man's idea of fat is another man's pleasantly plump. Again, perspective. There is a lid for every pot. | |

If you go by the (generally used) definition of fetish as being sexually stimulated by an object or non-sexual body part, simply liking big women wouldn't qualify any more than liking a woman with long (or short) hair, etc.
But the description the OP gave at the beginning of the thread, where men asked specifically about her "rolls" of fat and such, would probably qualify. They're turned on by the rolls (or feet, or some other ordinary body part), not the woman who happens to have the rolls, etc.
I believe this is a different kettle of fish than simply preferring a large woman because of personal aesthetics. | |

"boyish" "flat" "unfeminine"? These are all terms I've heard, as young as junior high. I've also had some people call me "slender" or "svelt" and tell me I have nice curves. But the thing is, is that in spite of how much talk people are doing about it here, the amount of "curve" necessary to make one adequately "feminine" and sexy, is a very subjective thing.
I think that currently, society is far more obsessed with evaluating a woman's physical traits to determine whether she is "feminine" than it is at evaluating a male's traits to determine whether he's "masculine." The number of bad things said about pretty-boy Brad Pitt, for instance, does not compare with the brutal things said about someone like Hillary Swank, who has a slightly androgynous face.
Basically, I think we need to knock it the **** off. And men and women alike should be working harder to support women of all body types. | |

I said I don't like obese women.
Being a trainer, most of the people I know don't go for overweight women and judging by their girlfriends, it's apparent that it's true.
Please disagree with me.....
Division, is it possible for you to say you are NOT attracted to an obese person, instead of making it personal, and saying you don't like them???
That statement of not liking them, is saying there is something innately unlikeable about them as a person, which is judging them as having something wrong just because of their weight...
You may be a weight trainer, however as a weight trainer, I would THINK that you would more than welcome someone that is over weight to want to have you train them so as they learn better eating habits, and in particular how to get their body to LOSE weight through the different techniques that help stimulate a sluggish metabolism...
As well you are making a statement for those that you know, however not all people who are weight trainers, and I personally know one, married to him, that look at the person inside and not what size they wear...
I do suppose you are young, and it will take time for you to realize it isn't all about what the outside wrapper is of a person, but rather what is with in the person that makes them good, or not so good...
I have seen really hot, built people, and they are as shallow as a plate when it comes to personality. There biggest trauma was breaking a nail, and not being able to make a training appointment over getting their nail fixed...
I don't think the OTHER poster was stereotyping you, however what you just posted stereotyped YOU, and the people you know... Tsssk tssk...
Perhaps you can get to know people as people, and not just a body size... Doesn't mean you have to date them, screw, marry them... It just means accepting that they are good people, and not someone to think less of just because they don't fit your ideal of attractive... | |

When you hear that if a man looses weight he gains inches in his parts, makes you wonder why more men don't. If a man wants a woman to be a tight body, he should expect that she spends time exercising to make her body rock, he should do the same.

Same goes for obesity as well. Black women tend to be thick and Black men seem to like it that way. There are plenty of fat whites in the south too. A trip to Walmart will prove that out. But blacks do have a 51% greater prevalence of obesity. I'm not racist. Those are just the facts. | |

That does not make any sense to me because norms tend to be cultural. What is sexual in one society is not in another and what is a turnoff in one society is not in another. Since we live in a global society, this line is becoming even more blurred.
Division, you may be a fitness professional and not like fat women but that is far from true for many fitness professionals. I have dated personal trainers, body builders, athletes, and others. Sexual preference does not appear to be related to profession. | |

No, I think you're up there in the not unusual male group, who can't resist the Barbie look. My 19 yr. old daughter is built that way. I have no idea where she got that from, since I am average and more towards the athletic side. I think the most popular look that men and women both go for, is healthy. Not stick thin or fat. Somewhere in the middle that just has a well cared for appearance. | |

Well, whatever is sexy about fat has been around since at least neolithic times and before, those carved neolithic Venus 's, with their huge breasts , thighs and stomaches, were to those neolithic agricultural socities, the epitome of sexual power and a symbol of fertility.
So, theres, a historical/evolutionary component to it.
the feel of fat is good. feels great to touch, squidgy. and warm, and soft and coforting.
It reminds some of loving mothers, and other female family memebers, it has a nrturing protective feel, in both men and women.
Nothing better than being enveloped in a soft but firm protective bear hug from either sex.
I have a big Mam, mammy cuddles when i was young were the best. I wouldnt have wnted cuddles from a skinny Mam, big Mammy cuddles were waaay better. Noe shes older, shes lost some weight, my arms go all the way around her now, and now its my turn to envelope her in my big cuddles, and let her feel protected in my 'curvy' cuddles. :)

I imagine for some, its a fetish, for others, its a preference triggered by females around them growing up, for yet others, it could be some sort of subconscious way of 'picking' someone who will have them, to mask their own insecurities. Some men think they cant do any better than a 'fat chick'.. therefore insulting the woman, and cheating themselves out of what they really want .
All sorts of reasons, but, the main one I think, is that fat feels good to touch.
I even sometimes touch my own fat, not in a sexual way, but I just pat my tummy and stuff, absentmindedly at times, and i just feel comforted by it.
Maybe deep down somewhere, its a subconscious thought of..'Ahh, im not going to starve in a famine, look at this lovely store of extra fat I got to keep me going,lol'
So, its comforting, feels good, has pleasant associations for some, and has been the symbol of fertility and sexuality for millenia. That sort of primal attraction is'nt going to be stamped out of men's psyches in a few years of this century,.. its primal, and maybe its went underground for the most part right now, but it will always be lurking in the recessess of our brains.
