Gosh; common sense should fall into the equation. Who the h*ll goes on a date/meet-up with a stranger to the woods?!

I think most men know not to invite a woman they don't know to the woods or their apartment.

But how long before the person is no longer considered a stranger?

BTW... most violent crimes are not committed by strangers, but by those closest to us... just food for thought...

I was referring to a meet-up and/or initial date. Hmmm....I don't know how long in terms of time-frame, but it would take more than a couple of dates/convos before I go venturing into the woods with someone. OR I would make it a group outting! ;-)

You are correct in that people that have been abused, etc....are victims of people they known in some capacity.

kimberish

i think they especially like the cash and credit card part, helps cover their expense related to the serial killer occupation, you know, shovel, duct tape, plastic bags........

oh sorry just having a post halloween sinister, scary moment....

kaylee

LMAO...thanks for the laugh Kaylee, I needed it with my morning coffee. Shovels, duct tape and plastic bags can get expensive, wouldn't want them to think I can't cover my half of my own demise...lol. So I guess I should I be worried if on a first meet/date he asks to stop by the local hardware store and inquires to my available credit line or my favorite color of designer duct tape.

Back on topic...I think all genders need to be cautious when going on dates from on-line connections. You never know who your going to meet.

OP, in general, I agree. BOTH genders need to take precautions. That being said, however, OP, take a gander at sooooo many of the ladies profiles. Guess what is really big on their "first date" in many profiles?

Long walks in woods, hiking trails, long walks at the beach and many have talking a long drive, especially if he has a motorcycle.

Were this just once or twice, I wouldn't think a thing about it. But there are many profiles that state such.

These women may be intelliget, but they're not too wise.

"Ive tried picking up women in the hardware store when I am shopping for duct tape, rope, twin zip ties, quick-crete, blue tarps, shovel and a pick axe.....
Never does seem to work out....

I did get one gal to help me out with the load, but she fled when she saw my ride, I guess the 70's panel cargo panel van is too beneath her. It was a shame too, I had a nice beverage for her efforts. "

Happy Halloween everyone. Hope you survived successfully.
