^^oh lordy, I can see a new thread on its way - "Do men like grey pubic hair?" "Well, mine's not really grey. It's more a silver/white".
So not natural blonde FFS? lol
Love a lovely trimmed woman, but I don't get this Brazillian trend? I prefer a lady to look like a grown-up.
As for me? Neat & tidy, but I could never bring myself to go the 'Full Monty'! lol

| Shaving or trimming your privates at our age? Posted: 11/4/2009 9:41:01 PM | I think the "at our age" crap comes from *trying* to keep a thread up in this forum. It's not enough that we're all over 45, and it should go without saying, that *any* concern we express is for the differences between us and the 20 and 30 year olds. It IS at our age.

| Shaving or trimming your privates at our age? Posted: 11/4/2009 10:26:29 PM | The reason people note age here is because this is for people age 45+. As someone who has some wisdom and life experience I love hearing how people whom I see as peers, see life and evolving culture.
Stop and think back 45+ years to what someone your age looked like, dressed like, acted like. How many 45+ men/women did you know who were went to the gym, played sports, were independent thinkers rather than group think.
Watch some of the movies from the 40's and then read bio's of the actors and its amazing that the actor who looked closer to age fifty was actually in their twenties.

I had just turned 11. I didn't even have a "bush" let alone knew what one looked like. Two years prior I saw my first penis playing doctor. It wasn't as big of deal as it is now............literally!

| Shaving or trimming your privates at our age? Posted: 11/4/2009 10:41:39 PM | | Yay for being over 45 if it means we can tell the trendies what to do with their fashions--I've got a 100% natural crotch, and I hope any lady I meet will have one too. You want shaved people who follow the crowd, go find a sheep. | |

| Shaving or trimming your privates at our age? Posted: 11/4/2009 11:01:01 PM | Ron I normally like your wit and advice but when you said this I cringed...
The first bald beaver I saw (on a 40 something gal) - I said to myself .......
1. how silly 2. I guess she is ready for action - at all times - with all guys.
I don t know exactly why it bothered me that you of all people would say that but it wasnt the type of comment I would expect from someone who normally seems so well balanced.
I have no clue why you would think someone who shaves is *ready for action--at all times--with all the guys? I am almost afraid to hear your answer but slightly hoping that it was just this one person who you felt like that about vs any woman who shaves.
I think it was 1980 the first time i shaved and it was at the request of my first boyfriend...I remember when I was in the Ladies room how red my face would turn that someone might actually look in the stall and see that I didnt have any hair...After I did it I just preferred it and that is all it is to me..a preferrence I have developed over the years but I shave my legs every day to cause I like the way they feel when they are smooth so I just spend a few minutes more ...but never cause Im easy or ready for action with all the guys.

i've always shaved and i'm 59...
so much for your theory about being a trendy and following fashion... and... ron...
what you wrote re., a "bald beaver" was just downright crude and simple sounding...

The day I can't see it is the day I will no longer want to use it!
A compelling argument... However, certain practical aspects should not be overlooked or so easily dismissed...
After all... You're still gonna hafta pee...

How can a mature woman's vulva look like a prepubescent girl's vulva? First of all, it's fashionable. Secondly, it's definitely more hygienic, especially in older women. Thirdly, it's sexier. You can see everything - surely that's sexier than looking at a big bush of hair? Perhaps I was a bit unkind FFS, and I apologise. Of course a developed vulva is easily distinguishable, but I still love that neat bush, and, hair or no hair, it's hygenic if you wash regularly.
It's just a matter of personal taste, I've had lovers who did, and lovers who didn't and the taste and aroma never depended upon whether they shaved or not, only on natural factors.

| Shaving or trimming your privates at our age? Posted: 11/5/2009 1:14:00 AM | | I didn't read anything unkind in your post, asydneymale. It's all a matter of preference, of course - and since it's the woman's body, surely her preference is what counts. | |

| Shaving or trimming your privates at our age? Posted: 11/5/2009 2:37:56 AM | Come on...anybody who is prudish about this doesn't have to read it. Lets face it if you have been married or in a relationship for 20 plus years its really scarey sleeping with a new partner for the first time and things like this really do sometimes bother people. Where better to ask the question than on a forum. Not everybody has other female friends they can discuss things like this with. I think its a question of lifestyle. If your active you will probably shave or trim people who have a more sedate lifestyle probably dont. Your partners preferances also come into it and sureley unless its a heat of the moment thing if you get to the stage when you are going to sleep with somebody you should be at ease enough with them to discuss it. | |

| Shaving or trimming your privates at our age? Posted: 11/5/2009 5:26:21 AM | | I like it as smooth as butter for both of us....Nothing feels finer or looks better. And for those of you who are uncomfortable with this topic....What the heck are you doing in here anyway? | |

| Shaving or trimming your privates at our age? Posted: 11/5/2009 6:06:21 AM | I wonder if people realize that if they do not use a sharp scissor when they "trim", it leaves really sharp poking stubble. Likewise, if one uses dull razors.
A beautician friend of mine told me that. She said if the scissor or razor is not really sharp, it splits the ends of the hair when you cut it or shave it and that contributes to the stubble or even the shortened hair being sharp and pokey.
I'm really not particular when it comes to that ... I enjoy the natural look on my men and seem to find partners who enjoy the same on me.

| Shaving or trimming your privates at our age? Posted: 11/5/2009 6:13:04 AM | Let me be the first to express I like hair down there especially the first time around.
Not finding hair down there is akin to opening a gallon of milk and the first glass being sour. Or finding out there is no Santa Claus or Easter bunny when you were age 8, or finding out there is no prize in the box of cracker jacks you just opened. It's just wrong! It is so wrong I sometimes just want to sob and cry.
I personally kind of like the running of the fingers through a well manicured lawn on a good looking woman.
I don't care what you do to it. For all I care, you can have UFO's draw crop circles...But leave something for those of us that like visualizationof matching the drapes and carpet as a stimuli. Finding a bald kitty is just wrong!
It so pains me when I find out one of my friends has no hair I am seriously looking at starting my own non profit 401C business. I have thought of some catchy names for advertising but maybe you can help me.
There is the DGBDT...Don't go bare down there. There is the WTHDT... Where's the hair down there? There is the KDHDT... Kitties deserve hair down there.
I might also open a second non profit and appropriately title it.
TTMDHDT.... Theres too much Damn hair down their. DSAATDHDT.... Do something about all that damn hair down there.
Personally I would like to find some RHDT... Red hair down there. But...that is a slow and agonizing process. I might add the mission is still ongoing but eventually I will meet success. If NASA can put two Rovers on Mars... I am sure I can find a beautiful Red head with hair down there.
If anyone else want to contribute names or appropriate abbreviations to my two non profit organizations I would be very thankful.
Final disclaimer This is all just in fun and being playfull of course the RHDT is a major project of mine....I hope you understand!!!
