Christmas Dinner"THe revenge of the Turkey"

If they are being bred for the consumption of humans etc., they have to get back in their own way by the meat being unplesent and tastelss, or else their death would have been in vain. I have turkey but then I disguise it by adding all sorts of things and have a theme for the christmas lunch. So far its be Italian, Morrocan, Ho down, Hawaian , Tudor England, and few more where I have dressed the table accordingly. One year I had areal mean chillie mmmm, and another year a crisp sald with pickles etc, luvly jubbly. Also why do people insist that you spend the day with them. I have either worked or helped out and have even spent it on my own .All I have said to my boys is do what ever you want to do, but pitch up sometime over the week etc. far easier. AS for spending the day with reletives what about the other days of the year, why just that day.

I'm having a cheese sandwich and a packet of turkey flavoured crisps for my
xmas dinner this year as I'll be on my own at home and can't be bothered to cook.
If any ladies fancy coming round for dinner I'll get some extra packets of crisps

Gar pagan your Christmas dinner sounds just up my street with one addition, some wine

Last year I had a gorgeous Lentil and Spinach curry, with all the trimmings, nan bread, pakoras, onion bhajiis, vegetable rice, poppadoms, and a rather fruity little tamarind dip.

I really wouldn't advise cooking a 'Turnkey', that is a property that is ready to move into and wouldn't taste too good in my opinion.

I will start to plan the menu around mid December........the main thing is my daughter, son and his girlfriend will be with me. The menu doesn't really matter much to be honest.

Do you roast it?
Wrap it in bacon?
Does it need much basting?

I too am veggie, so it's Quorn roast for me. All the christmas trimmings though, including sprouts because I love 'em!

It's cos we get all the family together and turkey is a handy size to feed 14 people at once, eh?

We eat, drink, smile, play and hope they all leave by boxing day!
