In Love after two weeks?

Why would someone from out of state attend a singles event in another state when they are only planning to be there for a few weeks?

Food for thought.
SoftAndHappy has a point there.

Falling in love for me has happened really quickly, but that's not the part of the story that seems suspicious to me. It's more the idea that he's gone to a singles event out of town and is aggressively pursuing her. Is he really from out of town? Is he really single? Those would be my first two guesses.

Good point, but apparently he is in town at least 50% of the year.

I agree, he is rushing her for a reason. What? She is needy and maybe he has picked up on that. She also lives in a very nice house. I know everyone see's that as a major red flag.

Mean while her trusty friend, me, does a background check and finds out he did have a couple of drug related arrests, dating about 5 + years back

Are you CIA or FBI?

How do you have access to this information?

If this is, in fact true, then you have breached a condition of the information being provided to you (non-disclosure).

I'd say you should be watching YOUR back, 'cause where I come from, you'd be in a lot of trouble kiddo.

This sounds to me like the guy is attached already, sorry that is my gut instinct.
If he thinks he is going to be in town for only 2 weeks originally than why see her once?
Does he work 24 hours a day?
It sounds convienent that he works the graveyard shift and can't see her at night.
Sorry this is way too full of inconvienent reasons not to see her.

He's a meth addict who happens to be sober TODAY

Devout catholics are cult followers.. and DONT get into meth.. OR.. they are ALL about addiction.. Addicted to robed child molestors for guidance.. OR meth..

You are in my neck of the woods.. Redondo.. Your email blocks block me.. email me and I will give you a REAL headsup for your friend.

seen her 4 times, and not for long.

Just because there's the L-O-V-E component to it doesn't mean it needs to be stored in the Holy of Holies. Love is different to many people in the same way that fuschia is.

If someone said that to me, I'd shake my head you crazy nutjob but deep down I'd be stoked. Emotions like that are precious and worthy of acknowledgment....I would be the last one to ridicule such. Is it infatuation? Lust? Of course it is. It never ceases to amaze me how people would be so analytical about it....jeebus...do you wait a year? 6 months and 2 days? Every leap year? Who gives a flying feck?

I found that people who are anal about these things tend to be bitter twisted unfeeling people [I can just picture these numbnuts, with arms crossed and making that hhhhrrrruuummmpph-ing noises that bitter twisted people usually make, chins wagging, snooty little sh1ts]

At the same time, yes, narcissistic tendencies, drug use, arrest and history. I'm all for second chances, but this is the sort you need to be avoiding. Loneliness and isolation is a terrible thing.. and time, as Gillian Welch would have said, is the revelator.

maybe this is not the guy to be with...he might have hiddin agendas, then again, he was honest and fortwrite.so there's something...now what really gets me is the number of people on here who just downright say run because someone claims they are falling in love fast. look you idiots...people can fall in love fast period! and it CAN go on to a meaningfull relationship that lasts, or it could fizzle in a month...you just never know. there's a few "experts" on here that have a lot of advice, and most of the posts that I've read from them are mostly negitive...me? I'm a pretty positive person, I always look at the good side...although I feel pretty jaded at times, when I get that feeling, I throw all caution to the wind, I've won doing that, I've lost doing the same thing..do what YOU want...what feels right for you..if it works out? great..if not...well, at least you tried. way to much negitive on this forum..
