| | PHILADEPHIA EAGLESPage 2 of 3 (1, 2, 3) | | It's hard to agree with you about Reid, because you fans always do this every time the Eagles lose a game. You call for his head. Then you guys make a run to the playoffs and you stop calling for his head. This is the same story as last year. Then you guys made it to the NFC Championship game and suddenly you were back on his side cheering him on to get to the SB. Last year you even wanted McNabb's head. Four week's later and four wins later..all was forgiven. The Eagles fans are the most bi-polar out there with the way they overreact. Damn, you've got a winning record and would make the playoffs if they started today. What more do you want? | |

| PHILADEPHIA EAGLES Posted: 11/11/2009 1:45:22 PM | Maybe for when McNabb takes his annual 4-5 weeks of in-season vacation, lol?
i thought thats why they used a first round pick on k.colb, then again who knows why they used a 1st round pick on him if they didnt see him playing.

| PHILADEPHIA EAGLES Posted: 11/11/2009 5:56:00 PM | | When the EAGLES make the playoffs it's due to player talent and most true Eagles fans recognize that. The coach has always been a sore spot with the real fans. What other owner and city would put up with the same pre-recorded press conference excuses after every loss, not to mention his total inability to manage the clock and think on his feet to make the proper in-game adjustments. It never changes and it's never going to unless something is done about it. I'd draw u a picture if i could but if u still can't understand the problems we face after this explanation, i give up. | |

| PHILADEPHIA EAGLES Posted: 11/11/2009 6:06:46 PM | Skootchie's a saints fan, they know nothing about walking the walk. Reid should have went for it on 4th down instead of kicking the field goal. But then again if Phillips was in that same situation he probally would have done the same thing. | |

| PHILADEPHIA EAGLES Posted: 11/11/2009 6:29:48 PM | Hey Eagle fans, how do you spell choke?
DONOVAN McNABB!
That guy sucks as bad as your coaching staff. McNabb is nothing without Westbrook! Romo kicked McNabb's A**!

| PHILADEPHIA EAGLES Posted: 11/11/2009 7:53:36 PM | I will never understand why the Eagles kicked the field goal when they still needed a touchdown to win the game. Even if they stopped the Cowboys 3 and out they would of needed a hail mary pass to win the game . The Cowboys would have loaded the defensive backfield deep and still would of won the game. The Eagles had no time outs with very little time to even throw a pass which would have had to be either a touchdown or out of bounds. Worse call I've seen all year. | |

| PHILADEPHIA EAGLES Posted: 11/11/2009 8:11:25 PM | | Thank u. That's exactly the kind of thing i'm talking about. The man can't think on his feet. He's clueless. | |
|
| PHILADEPHIA EAGLES Posted: 11/11/2009 8:22:14 PM | | Oh, here we go. Someone else who's clueless. Westbrook? The eagles haven't had him all year and they're still 5-3. Despite everything they only lost to the GIRLS by 4 points. With a better coach, they beat them and certainly beat OAKLAND. They should be 7-1, easily on top of the NFC EAST! I rest my case. | |
|
| PHILADEPHIA EAGLES Posted: 11/11/2009 9:34:17 PM | | ^^^We'll see who is clueless when you are back on the bandwagon once the Eagles get into the playoffs. You'll be all hopeful about your team again. It's only half way through the season, and like last year, Eagles fans think the season is over. | |
|
| PHILADEPHIA EAGLES Posted: 11/12/2009 8:25:26 AM | Skootchie, u still don't get, do u?
I've never gotten off the TEAM bandwagon. U really do need a picture drawn. I believe they can be moderately successful depite the coach. With the rite breaks, they may even be able to get to the BIG DANCE where King Reid will again be out-coached by his opponent when clock management and in-game adjustments become infinetly more important. Don't get me wrong, Reid does have his positves such as personnel selection and pre-game planning. However, the 2 major negatives should not be an issue with someone whose been in the league as long as he has. Perhaps he should hire an assistant just for handling those tasks!
|
| PHILADEPHIA EAGLES Posted: 11/12/2009 10:56:47 AM | Oh, and one more thing while i'm at it. Would someone like to tell me the purpose of signing Michael Vick? ==================================================== Insurance Policy. McNapp is very fragile and gets injured a lot. Kolb although good but he still raw and you don't want to waste him for one season. You don't like Reed do you want to trade him for Zorn? | |
|
| PHILADELPHIA EAGLES thread, but Giants are still GREAT!! Posted: 11/12/2009 11:00:09 AM | Enjoy it while it lasts. Giants have been playing without some key players, and some hurt. When we come back, we will be healed, rested and ready to roar. =========================================================== Don't count on it, Eli is adopted he is not a real Manning the SB was a fluke. | |
|
| PHILADEPHIA EAGLES Posted: 11/12/2009 1:16:48 PM | OK, Elqa, let's take both points head on:
Vick, a back-up to McNabb - makes no sense to take that kind of public relations hit for a common everyday back-up. If all they wanted was a back-up, they could've stuck with Jeff Garcia! No, my friend, i believed they expected MUCH more and whether they didn't get that is the fault of Vick or Reid, it's still major mess-up! At least with Garcia, they would have had a proven entity.
Trade Reid for Zorn - at this point i'd trade Reid for Rich Kotite or Joe ("must go") Kuharick (excuse my spelling).
Anything else u wanna ad?

true, lord knows all of them pro bowl w.r's. he has had to play with and all the pro bowl running backs he has had. the fact that they have even got to the nfc championships with that offense they have is a miracle. does any body relize that the 1 year they got to the superbowl t.o. didnt play in the playoffs ( and i say that because isnt that the only pro bowl wr mcnabb has played with). look i dont think reid is a great coach but he doesnt suck.
|
| PHILADEPHIA EAGLES Posted: 11/12/2009 2:33:09 PM | | Ah, Denny....................here we go again! Why can't u see the big picture? True, McNabb hasn't had a lot of offensive firepower, but the DEFENSE carried them into the playoffs during those years. He's got the firepower now but unfortunately, the defense isn't what it used to be. A stronger coach would've made the difference then and could make the difference now. It always comes down to clock management with this team and that has to rest on the coach's shoulders. | |
|
| PHILADEPHIA EAGLES Posted: 11/12/2009 2:36:22 PM | | iam not a eagles fan at all so it doesnt really matter to me what they do, iam just saying, if u guys want to run mcnabb and reid outta town feel free, but u might not end up with a better situation. like they say grass isnt always greener on the other side. | |
|
| PHILADEPHIA EAGLES Posted: 11/12/2009 2:37:44 PM | | Clock management isn't completely controlled by the coach. It's more controlled by the qb's decisions in the pocket. Then I would say the execution of the play is more critical to clock management. If a player fails to get out of bounds, that is not the coach's fault. If a qb takes a sack, that is not the coach's fault either. | |
|
| PHILADEPHIA EAGLES Posted: 11/12/2009 2:59:11 PM | | I'm not one of those fans who wants to run McNabb outta town. That's sheer nonsense. At least we agree on that. | |
|
| PHILADEPHIA EAGLES Posted: 11/12/2009 3:09:40 PM | | U're rite. Time mgmt isn't always the coach's fault, but this has been a problem for as long as Reid has been running the team, regardless of which players were on the field. I can't believe that the EAGLES have / had a monopoly on "DUMB" players who don't know when to get out of bounds or avoid a sack. It's when u take these "on the field" miscues that all teams experience and combine them with the coach's inability to control or adjust that u have a major problem. | |
|
| PHILADEPHIA EAGLES Posted: 11/13/2009 5:35:56 AM | Certainly not, carmanjack, and Westbrook's stopping at the one instead of scoring an easy touchdown is testiment that the whole team is not clueless to clock management! But Andy Reid is poor in that area and Donovan is not much better! I know that it still deeply pains my Eagle fan friends to be reminded of the lack of urgency Donovan displayed in the 4th quarter of the Superbowl game that T. O. risked his life to play in and afterward committed his black-on-black crime by telling the world that Donovan was spewing his Chunky soup on the playing field!
Aaaaaaaah, the good old days!
|
| PHILADEPHIA EAGLES Posted: 11/13/2009 6:14:55 AM | Bravo, Pete. Finally a level headed comment! I'll even go one step further on your observation of the lack of urgency displayed by McNabb in the 4th quarter of the '04 SB. If it was obvious to us fans, why didn't King Reid recognize it and lite a fire under Donovan's a**?
Furthermore, u couldn't be more rite about T.O. risking his career for that game. Yes, he should've been given a hefty bonus for that effort and maybe that would've taken the pressure off his demand for a new contract. I can't believe something could not have been worked out. A happy, contented T.O. for the '05 season probably results in a back to back trip to the SB and who knows how many more!
Lost opportunities, indeed!

Sometimes i just don't understand the EAGLES. Makes no sense how they can come out so flat for a game as important as Sunday nite's.
Just wait til next Sunday night.
