leave it in overdrive and keep it running
any good hard driving machine likes it hot,
ramming through all its gears is simple play
finding when to cruise control certainly is not,
keep it coming driving forward keeping steady speed
through all the puddles along the path getting wet,
drive that bad monster home by pure instinct
time to unload that cargo is near you can bet

time to unload that cargo is near, you can bet,
just don't do it in the loo of a lear jet
and why do we bother with this fishing net
when so many don't seem ready as of yet
to open their heart and mind to love
letting fear rewind and flow in their blood
hoping that others will release the flood
of passion in action from heaven above

Of passion in action from heaven above
Set free & soaring like a white-winged dove
Amongst the clouds like candfloss
Looking down on the concrete cities & dross
But up in the skies where things roam free
This is the place for a free spirit to be

This is the place for a free spirit to be
rising above the misery
a mix of people, some ready some not
all looking for something they somehow forgot

the profiles change, the links come and go
the sexiest wink, someone thinks they know
who'd be my match, while the trapped cowboys ride
my IM'd still get turned on if I'll just unhide

I swim in the pond, it's exercise and fun
and maybe the bonus of finding someone.
This life is a blast, always something new
and in the meantime I'll write poems with you.

and in the meantime I'll write poems with you
to show you the kind of life I'm used to
some days, better than others,
always something new discovered
sometimes a whisper, sometimes a shout
happily creating what life's about
sing on the merry highway, dance
friendly dance, war dance or peace stance

Friendly dance, war dance or peace stance
Not hoping for nor seeking a 'new romance'
Instead the music can lead to a happy trance
And a procession of party troopers can advance
Before being carried away on white horses which prance
Through the velvet night sky leaving nothing to chance

through the velvet night sky
leaving nothing to chance
stars and moon play a heavenly dance
sparkling amid the dark avalanche
they call to me to do more than glance
but let them take me into their territory
where the universe stretches out before me
seeing the jewels of each planetary presence
glowing in their magnificance

glowing in their magnificance
doing the happy dance
adorned with jewels
stepping high looking real cool
enjoying the sun in the great sky
tonight by the lake we'll lie
fingers and tongue and hearts entwined
everything but a meeting of the minds

everything but a meeting of the minds
when most bits fit but still ties bind
that sticking point we won't leave behind
we hold on tight as if it's a sign
that obviously we're no perfect pair
around that one point tempers flair
so afraid we might disappear
if we accept this passion as a gift so rare

if we accept this passion as a gift so rare
we might not see that it's everywhere
found within the heart of each person
seen in all the blossom of Spring
felt in every wave of the ocean
coming to shore and back for more
passion is part of everything
so let it flow in celebration

if we accept passion as a gift so rare
we would hardly ever choose to share?
so my inner loves may ignite desire
I'll try to set my world on fire,
even through my mind I'll think
in water color paper and ink,
or from deep inside my heart I'll tear
emotions fleeting lovers affair,
however it is the food from my soul
take it eat plenty from this bowl
without this present I give to thee
there is no life inside of me~

So let it flow in celebration
from self beauty creation
down through the ages
unlock mans cages
and set yourself free

enjoy stormy weather
the lightning cuts the sky
the rain drops roll off skin
they don't make impressions.

standing in the midst of it
the wind is circling around
the daylight veiled in grey hues
cold and warm at the same time.

within natures looking glass
expression is found at last
words on lips that can't be said
the storm speaks on my behalf.

the storm speaks on my behalf
I think I had begun eating cotton candy
when a knife that was lightning
sliced my piece of sky.

Oh yay. Let it rip.
a cleansing better than a baptism.
I belong here? In this fury.
I would not ever want to miss the action.

Done...each bit of this stillness
is valuable...gold...a shining
to my living.

to my livin.
a toast is given
health, happiness, and prosperity
drink it back, then break the glass
a wish held for posterity

a wish held for posterity
sweetness and parity
level out bad luck
we were so dazed
when the bottom dropped
that we forgot
to duck

to duck
into a paper cup
rather than say what is expected
dejavu conversation, a novel neglected
perhaps the sound of sipping coffee
will explain the awkward pause
finished drinking now,
a convenient escape clause

A convenient escape clause
Like retreating from the wars
But peace & serenity give so much pleasure
Far more than a life of daily grind could ever measure

Far more than a daily life grind could measure
imaginations inscribe wanton pleasures
filling up time wasted on sublime leasure
the idle poor can feel richness endure
knowing that for sure
there is no cure that beats laughter
nothing in the everafter
hidden in some rafters
in that building on the hill
no need to write a will
with nothing to spill
being still in the sun with a smile on yer face
watching the children run all over the place
no disgrace in having only your life
no roof or bed or even a wife
no stife if you won't let your mind go that way
enjoy every now you realize makes the day.

enjoy every now you realize makes the day
they really are numbered like an oil painting
they come out from the box all pretty
each with its very own special color to fill
as a designated spot on the cardboard
when they all come they create a picture
that no photograph or poem can ever describe
it is a patch work of our living days
coming together in the end one last time
delight in every shade~

delight in every shade
joy in the feel of fabric
bits and pieces become one
with stitchery and magic
layers joined together
ordinary and unique
covers us in patch work
provides the warmth we seek

Provides the warmth we seek
Throughout the course of a week
Each day has something new to add
A stitch in time whether happy or sad

a stitch in time whether happy or sad
forms the picture on the tapestry
a scene of flowers in blooms unfolds
stitch my numbers artistry
