| | Always the dumper or always the dumpee?Page 2 of 2 (1, 2) | I used to think that I was the dumpee in most relationships ( teens to mid 20's), until a good friend reminded me that I have ended a lot of my most recent relationships (superficial dating of months or less)... of the past 4, I have been the dumper, but often had regrets...there are always regrets.
I agree with the opinion that some too bail quickly but I think that with experience and knowledge of what works for you, there is a sense in not prolonging the inevitable....if it ain't good, right or fixable, cut bait. I have no delusions of Knights in shining armor, or having unrealistic expectations...just an understanding that everyone is not my special someone and that finding a suitable mate takes lots of humor, a generous amount of bravery and the ability to move along with grace.
You have to wonder when people can't keep relationships together if it's a matter of them or their picker...Hmmm...Either calls for introspection...Nice thread!

| Always the dumper or always the dumpee? Posted: 9/25/2011 11:37:46 PM | | I'm usually the dumper especially the older I get, there are just certain things that are dealbreakers to me, and I don't hold on to the impossible anymore.. I may even still be interested in the person but they broke trust or whatever.. really just depends on how far into the relationship I am | |

No matter how good it was, how true or faithful, or attempted to work on problems within the relationships I've had, it didn't matter........ I've always been the dumpee.

He was either involved with someone else or ashamed of you in some way.. Why would you put up with that. He was using you for sex and men will say anything to get into bed....I think he had other women all along and you have really lost nothing. Perhaps you will set your standards higher next time and heed the warning bells of being wanted to be hidden.
