| KILTS...Would you wear one? Date someone who did? Posted: 7/20/2005 11:10:39 AM | I love my kilts. They are great attention getters, and there is always a woman around ready to start a conversation about it. There are a lot of men discovering the joys of kilt wearing, and many women who are glad they have. I have Scottish, Irish, American, and Norwegian kilts. It's nice not having a center seam to pinch and bind. Women already wear whatever they want to wear without worrying about what others think. Why should not men start doing the same? | |

untamed ( ifeel so strange saying that to a man), i am wondering, did you wear them in the 'traditional " manner, or did you hide the stick and berries in case of a strong breeze?
I stand very firm on tradition and ceremony in some things; this is one of them. I am well aware of what is worn under a kilt, and I abide by the Highland tradition regarding this. Besides a stiff breeze makes for a bit of entertainment.
As for what's worn under the kilt? "Nothing, it is all in perfect working order."

| KILTS...Would you wear one? Date someone who did? Posted: 7/20/2005 9:58:05 PM | I was really into the Celtic thing 6 or 7 years back and wanted to buy a Kilt. They were very expensive and I couldn't find a cheap model at Wal-mart so I gave up on the idea.
Speaking of Scots, what's the difference between Mick Jagger and a Scot? Jagger sings "Hey you, get off of my cloud" and the Scot yells "Hey McCloud, get off of my ewe".

| KILTS...Would you wear one? Date someone who did? Posted: 7/21/2005 12:03:15 PM | My husband is the first person in his entire family to be born in Canada...they are all Scottish...so yes...kilts are the norm in my world....
Would I wear a tartan skirt? Sure...why not....certainly if it was the proper tartan for our family (otherwise known as "clan" if your Scottish).
It's just a traditional type of dress....lots of cultures have things like that.
