IMO making love is a lot better than just f*cking someone. when feelings are involved, it's always better for me. the quality is better. | |

I think the original point was that it's EASIER for women to get sex when they want it. Not whether it was desireable or any other qualitative measure.

Exactley. I honestly don't know if it would "easier" for a man(assume of very a good player) or a female(average looking or not),but do know,despite the theory of men "approaching" women first(where did that come from???), women have control over the green/red light switch.
The woman DOES decide. She is the ultimate decision maker here on the fact if sex is gonna happen or not. Without her okay on the situation the man will be choking his chicken all by his lonesome. Simple as it gets. She may not get it "whenever she wants" but she will get it if SHE decides SHE wants it. If we,as men want it, there still has to be a female around willing to ACCOMODATE us(sometimes ) | |

Not really. Have you ever noticed that there are very few male escorts who are strictly heterosexual? By contrast, my best friend (who has retired from escorting), easily pulled in $300.00/hr as an escort and she turned down at least 9 out of 10 clients who wanted to see her. I also know several escorts who are, to put it bluntly, not very attractive at all, and the still are able to find men willing to pay them for sex.
Women are often seen as having the power to say “yes” or “no” in sexual situations.
That is pretty much the case. I can tell you from personal experience that women seem to take this for granted without giving it a thought so that when a woman feels like she's lost that control, she'll be much more aggressive.
From the male point of view, if a woman wants to have sex, all she has to do is say “yes” and sex is on. The problem here is that this line of reasoning goes on a lot of assumptions, the main one being that women are in a perpetual state of being propositioned for sex.
Men do not perpetually proposition women for sex because a direct proposition will most likely receive a ``no'' regardless of a woman's attraction to a guy. On the other hand, in a sexual situation (like a date involving some intense kissing where both parties are turned on), a woman who wants to have sex is unlikely to be told no. She can pretty much do whatever she wants - say no, or just let the guy keep going until she decides to send him home (or not). The best strategy for man is to say no first, go home and and let the woman be the aggressor on the next date.
Guys are used to being told no. Women are used to being told yes. This is so ingrained that a woman will wonder what's wrong if a guy doesn't at least try to go as far as she'll let him. If you don't see this, you would be susceptible to the strategy I just mentioned, because you simply wouldn't understand why a guy said no. You've also neglected to even mention that women could out and proposition men directly. The only reason I think that doesn't occur to you is that your only frustration with getting laid is a lack of being propositioned, not because you have tried propositioning men.
A false assumption here is that the only reason a woman wouldn’t be getting laid is because she’s too picky.
That would be the wrong way to state it, since women do turn down guys for sex even when the guy is someone to whom the woman is sexually attracted. There have been a number of threads in the forums in which women have said that they know within the first few minutes whether or not they are physically attracted enough to a guy to sleep with him. Where that feeling is mutual, I'd lay odds that after that first 5 minutes, a woman would say no and a guy would say yes almost 100% of the time. Or in other words, at that point, a guy has inadvertetly relinquished control to the woman.
It’s not fair to say that if a woman wants sex she should just “stop being picky” and have sex with whomever, when men are just as likely to reject people they are not attracted to.
No, but it is fair to say that if a woman wants to get laid, she could simply go out and proposition men she finds as physically attractive as men she would date and she would have no difficulty getting laid.

Oh they most certainly exist, but they are VERY quiet about it. (They are doing something often considered illegal enough to draw hard jail time, AND the greater world around them distains them with a passion.)

(*) They WORK hard, hard, hard for their money, and they are very bright. *IF* they had applied the same (HUGE!) level of effort and determination to the corporate world, they would be making two to five times as much money. But ..... that's not their personality. Like all other con artists, they would rather steal than work legit.
They also search out and seriously "hunt" rich women 15 to 30 years older (never younger) and who have seriously unpleasant personalities, 40% of those "marks" themselves once worked as sex workers. (On a minor scale, a friend of friend is a 65 year old unemployed carpenter who is "dating" an 80 year old woman who pays all his bills, and gives him "spending money" to cover his "hobbies" and even supplied him with a brand new F-250 truck.)

We aren't talking about kept men/women. Personally, I think you have no idea what the sex industry is like. In Dallas alone, I could find hundreds of escorts whos rates range from a couple hundred an hour to more than $700.00/hr; several who are extremely exclusive and expect a minimum of 3 hours time, including dinner and entertainment, yet I know of not a single male escort. (Craigslist and backpage ads don't count. Those are wannabes. I'm also not talking about street walkers.) The point is, that just about any woman can hang out a shingle, immediately be charging a few hundred an hour and turn it into a business. (The friend I mentioned turned down 12k/month to see a guy twice/week. She's attractive and under 40, but not by much.) If guys could get laid as easily as women, prostitution would disappear.

Again, you don't know anything about escorts or their clients. I know quite a few escorts and although they do get clients who are as you describe, most of their clients are rather average guys and some have been described to me a drop dead gorgeous, charming, great in the sack and wealthy. Women can get several hundred an hour almost regardless of their attitude or even flakiness. Intelligence and personality can get them a higher rate, if that's what they want. Some guys go to escorts becuase they can't get sex anywhere else. Most go because it's much easier to get sex that way, when they want sex. Male escorts are few and far between, because women can not only get sex easily, they can get paid for it. | |
