I suspect a LOT of the girls that "handle" deepthroat do so through the EXCELLENT motivation they get from a huge pay check for their porn film-making work. Deepthroat is very much a male fantasy, and as such is a very "saleable commodity" in the porn industry. Girls who can cope know they're going to make lots of money and that's one hell of a reason for trying very hard to cope.
I suspect some other girls find the "domination/submission" overtones of being taken to the edge of the gag reflex (or sometimes beyond) thrilling. This is all bound up with DS and SM style sexuality, which is a "head game".
I suspect some others do it to please their male loves, because they genuinely want to do what thrills their lover.
