I need to have a better understanding how ads work on POF, reason being I don't remember seeing ads on POF. This is why I would like to speak with someone over the phone about running ads, so anyone can help me with a contact number for POF would be great, I thank you in advance.

I started to get feeback/replies then, when I logged in this morn, the thread was no where to be found. I read the do's/don'ts prior to posting my question and thought I was within guidelines.

Posted: 7/17/2012 12:29:03 PM | Shortly after I tried to help someone with some settings some user jumped all over me and basically says chat doesn't work because people don't want to talk to you and its rude. Shortly after I posted I could not connect to users, users online could not see me, and my chat failed after working before. If this person is Admin in some way I would have to honestly say they rank in the top five of the worst I've met so far. I'm tempted to shoot an email to the Owner.
Win 7 64 bit users with Firefox goto Tools:Options:Content:Exceptions (across from block popup windows) add:pof.com:add:plentyoffish.com
All users with firewalls make sure to allow POF through the firewall rules
People that use tracker and script blockers may need to turn those off as well | |

If you find a solution could you please pass it on There are a number of issues with software compatibility. I too have tested this with other users over the phone. I find that clicking in the Message Entry Box even though it still appears inactive improves my results from a 70% failure rate to a 30% failure rate.

Posted: 8/3/2012 4:14:50 AM | If I initiate a chat with someone it always times out with connection failed for me, tried it on mac, ubuntu, windows xp and windows 7 from 2 different locations, I presume it may be something to do with talktalk (uk isp). The problem is there are millions of people who use this ISP in the UK. This is not random people by the way, I've been on the phone with people testing it and it always times out.
If someone initiates chat with me, it connects and works fine.
talktalk do not block any ports, but they do shape / prioritise bit torrent traffic.

Posted: 10/1/2012 5:30:07 AM | Hello, I came across an issue today where a friend said he sent me messages and wondered why I wasn't replying. I actually didn't receive them. He tried again today and yet still nothing came through. I tried the username search to locate his profile and it didn't give me anything no matter who's username I put in there. Is this only for upgraded people to use? Can you tell me why his messages haven't come through to me.
