Sometimes I see several names all lined up preceded by yellow or green dots. Some are people I may have or not have chatted with . . .
Green or yellow dots have nothing to do with chat. The former signifies the user is online, the latter signifies that they have an upgrade account. See Online Status and Dots etc.

Posted: 9/29/2011 5:39:51 AM | If "chat" is written under someones photo does that mean he is definitely chatting at that moment? I've been seeing someone and sometimes it reads on line now and other times it reads chat. So I was wondering if he is still chatting with other women??? Please help.

I have reinstalled IE8, reinstalled Flash, reset all the settings, etc, and none of it has fixed the problem. Posted: 10/2/2011 9:06:00 AM | I am enjoying this feature on POF and thusfar no issues with it.
However, it would be so convenient to be able to download the messenger so that it ran in my taskbar. This would make it so that I didnt have to load the POF site each time to check.
Other dating sites have this ability.
Will this ever be something offered on POF?
