| Women Who Smoke Posted: 1/23/2006 4:59:54 PM | Ok... I know I'm putting myself up infront of a fireing squad, but I have to say that it seems more women smoke than not.
I so wish that were true... OTOH, even out here, there seems to be some rather fine women who partake of the nicotine habit to choose from, though not nearly as many as the non-smoking variety
But then, I live in Utah... Go figure :)

| Women Who Smoke Posted: 1/23/2006 5:31:50 PM | | I personally find smoking repugnant. Therefore, a woman who smokes is not one that I find all that alluring, even if she is pretty. I don't like women who drink either. I don't drink or smoke, so I guess I'm biased like that. | |

| Women Who Smoke Posted: 1/23/2006 5:43:08 PM | Discussing smoking, non smoking, fat or thin, tall or short. I compare it to discussing politics and religion. A no win situation really :) We all have our opinions but it is impossible to convert the unconvertable. Is that a word or a sedan? Any self improvements have to come from within...... | |

|
| Women Who Smoke Posted: 6/27/2006 11:28:41 AM | | I for one don't get what your talking about? I'm on these sites because I smoke and it is very difficult to find many women that do or don't mind? This site seems to have a bit more then most but you take match.com there has to be 50 to 1 ratio of women that don't smoke to those that do, and definitely the majority of the the more attractive ones do not! | |

| Women who smoke Posted: 9/22/2006 7:23:44 AM | | Women, who smoke, don't bother me. Women, whom are drunken lushes, do. | |

| Reply To #1 Posted: 9/22/2006 8:07:19 AM | Well I smoke so it doesn't bother me. When I was younger I didn't smoke and I still dated women who do.
I think for a non-smoker to date a smoker they have to be very tolerant. It's definately not easy for them but it also depends on the type of smoker.
Do they smoke in the house? Are they a heavy smoker? These make alot of differences among smokers. I do not smoke in the house nor am I a heavy smoker versus someone who is but still I smoke so I don't expect to meet anyone who doesn't smoke.
|
| Women Who Smoke Posted: 9/22/2006 9:14:08 AM | What's the question? If you don't want to date someone that smokes, move on to the next profile....... | |
|
| Women Who Smoke Posted: 9/25/2006 5:01:13 PM | I hold my hands up...I am a smoker...but very rarely. I know it is addictive but to be honest it is something i can do or not do.
I can honestly say with my hand on my heart no living person has ever seen me smoke a cigarette. I do not smoke in my house or car. I can not smoke at work and would never do so even if i could. I would never smoke in public... in the street...in the pub....in a resturant. I have raised two children and neither of them have seen me smoke a cigarette and my partners over the years have never seen me smoke.
I own up to being a smoker because occasionally when i am trying to relax and all else fails i will have a cigarette while stood in my garden but only at night when it is pitch black and no one can see me. A packet of twenty can last me six months!
The reason i don't give up all together... because i am old enough to do it ...intelligent enough to make my own decisions as to if i want to do it and on the rare ocassion i do it i LIKE it.

| Women Who Smoke Posted: 9/26/2006 2:48:44 PM | Smoking is gross and I'm a light smoker but do have the respect for others who don't smoke and won't smoke around them?? What about men that smoke?? | |
|
| Women Who Smoke Posted: 9/26/2006 4:24:00 PM | I agree with the others; don't ever start dating a woman who smokes in hopes of getting her to quit. I'm a smoker and would love to quit, however...it's very difficult for me. Some find it easier but, I'm finding it extremely hard to break the habit and have tried everything from the patches to the lasers. My ex knew I was a smoker but, thought he'd change that because he'd quit years before. It just doesn't work that way. It caused many fights and a lot of resentment. It's VERY understandable that you are not attracted to women who smoke. The habit is more offensive to some and is ABSOLUTELY acceptable (IMO) that you choose to avoid those who are creatures of it. So, yes, you are definitely on the right track by passing up profiles of us who smoke. Funny that I now find myself passing up the profiles of men who are not smokers. What a sad thing to think that this one habit could be the ONLY thing keeping two people apart who might otherwise be very well suited for each other in many ways! Such is life!! But...best of luck to you here and I hope you will find that perfect non-smoking someone. | |

| Women Who Smoke Posted: 9/26/2006 4:44:58 PM | How about
LIVE AND LET LIVE
Too many social restrictions on what is appropriate and what isn't. Whatever you choose to do with your life is your business.
If you can't handle it...date someone else..but don't chastise the person because of what they do.
I don't date anyone who does drugs but that doesn't mean I don't respect them any less. It is their life choice and I respect that.
There are alot of people that couple up and one is a smoker and the other not. I smoke but neither of my husbands did and they didn't care that I did.
I was respectful and smoked outside.
Love shouldn't have so many damn restrictions.....sheesh it's not rocket science
LIVE AND LET LIVE

| Women Who Smoke Posted: 8/8/2007 8:48:31 AM | i agree..i dont want anyone who wants to force change into my life.i want someone to accept me for myself..smoking or not...
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, smoke in one hand, wine in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming "WOO HOO what a ride!"
|
| Women Who Smoke Posted: 8/8/2007 5:21:51 PM | anyone ever hear of the play "i love you, you're perfect, now change"?
says it all....i am a smoker, a heavy smoker...and i'm kinda cute dammit!...i realize it is MY offensive habit and i try very hard not to intrude on others breathing space...i stand outside and far away often... i also eat transfat, drink wine , beer and eat red meat and wear leather....
bottom line? i go to bed happier than most health nuts...lol
i would never quit for anyone but myself....and i'm not there yet...if that makes me a bad person than i believe we all need to re-examine what a good person is...
get over it, it's still legal....

| Women Who Smoke Posted: 8/8/2007 7:40:20 PM | | yeah i hear that mizzannknee! I really want to quit, but don't actually want to do the quitting. After an 11 hour work shift, lighting up a cig and sippin on a beer to some good music is priceless. If only the could make "safe" odorless cigarettes that cost $0.50 a pack...ah that would be a dream. | |
|
| |
| Women Who Smoke Posted: 8/9/2007 11:24:20 AM | you're welcome mizzannknee...we only live once...every person in the world have bad habits..whether it be smoking or something else. | |
|
| Women Who Smoke Posted: 8/9/2007 3:44:33 PM | | Why do guys who hate smoking bother to even write to smokers? It shows they only look at the pics and don't read, lol! Ex smokers on dates can be such a drag if they start lecturing....I usually leave for a smoke at that point, lol! | |
|
| Women Who Smoke Posted: 8/10/2007 12:24:50 AM | I would only date a girl that smokes if she makes the effort to quit and succeeds. It is a disgusting habit, and shows me that the person does not care about their health and time with me while alive to quit. I have noticed beautiful women in places that I thought I would like to get to know and then observed them light up and I am automatically no longer as interested. | |

| Women Who Smoke Posted: 8/10/2007 7:32:53 AM | | Its free world, if you don't like it find someone that suits your criteria, you seem to really condem these women for smoking because as you state in your thread all of the negative side of it.Well before you start to pontificate about others vices I would revisit your own which I would assume to be gluttony and physical inactivness, hence your being overweight (heart disease, diabetes, sweaty unpleasent bodt odour etc..) . Im quite sure many women also find that "yucky" and realize that that too limits their choices while searching. | |
