The best idea i saw when I quickly browsed the answers...set your preferences, as you cant force change onto ppl...and there are plenty of good looking women who dont smoke also. | |

Posted: 8/29/2005 8:15:57 AM | I just changed my profile from "occasionally" to "no." I was sick for about a week with a cold(still have a small deep-chested cough) but I completely stopped craving cigarettes during my sick time.
Now I haven't smoked in over a week and have decided to quit. I've even drank alcohol and still didn't crave it. And my roommate's smoke makes me sick to smell it. It's weird, but I'm super happy about it.
If you have any trouble quitting, watch the movie "CONSTANTINE." That scene in the end is enough to make you quit. (and I actually think it had something to do with my quitting), really.
I just hope my craving doesn't come back. | |

Unless you actually 'see' me smoking you wouldn't know I smoke... I don't smell like it, (always carry perfume) I don't taste like it (always have tic-tacs).... I don't smoke in my house (Don't want me son to sit in it)....... I dont smoke that much... when I'm at home, I'll have 1/2 a cigarette every 2 hrs or so..... the only time I really light up alot is when i'm out with friends having a few drinks (not very often).....
When I find a man to 'complete' my life and that can keep my HANDS and MOUTH busy ..... I'd be glad to quit with his help :) * winks | |

I know that smoking isn't the best thing you can do for yourself, it's an addiction and a hard one to break at that. However, smoking doesn't make you a bad person and I'm always considerate of others if they don't smoke, I don't smoke around them. I'm a very private smoker...and yes I intend to try to quit again...very soon... but I like your post, back a few, Country, "when I find a man who can keep my hands & mouth busy...that's when I'll quit"...true enough, you have to be ready and into other stuff to get over the first while of not smoking. | |

These people that smoke, I hope they are not doing it around there kids and pets. They do not have a choice, so don;t make it for them.

Hmm walking around with a package of leaves rolled into paper tubes that you ignite and inhale, filling your lungs with pollution and then exhaling it back out. Black tar on the lungs, destroying your lung cells from the very first cigarette you smoke...
or
walking around with a bit of arrogance and one's head up their ass....

Posted: 8/31/2005 1:22:49 PM | | you know i wasnt going to reply to this topic...but...i was provoked. i smoke, but like many not in my home, nor my car..in the winter its the garage in the summer its the screen in poarch..but as for the wrinkles.,..,way funny, ok get you a girl that doesnt smoke, let her get sick and have to take medicine that causes her skin to age and there ya go. just making a point., we could all say well fat people shouldnt eat look what it does to your heart etc. i had a lady at a park huff and puff because i was smoking a cigeratte and was real explicit about what she thought of us second low life citizens...i laughed as she walked away, or was that thud thud thud away she probably weighed in at 200+ lbs all the way talking about the damage we smokers do to her lungs. i said hell girl dont worry about it...your going to kick from a friggin heartattack from all that fat anyway...point in hand...no one is perfect and we dont live in a perfect world. tell ya what..go find you a non smoker...shes probably on prozac and that should be better LOL...what a thread........isnt this like..DONE | |
