| What does another 4 years of Bush mean to you Posted: 11/3/2004 6:35:58 PM | i just found out that even after all of the new regestrations among my age group (18-25) only 17% voted, that's exactly the same amount as in the last election. (i did vote) come on people why are we letting the older folks decide our future? there are more of us than them and we can decide the elections if we just vote. please vote!!!! i understand the apathy and dissolutionment but NOT voting only makes sure things stay the same.
to loukus: i can only assume that you are independently weathly as you seem to have little sympathy for those who are working hard and still struggling. i have thought seriously of leaving the country but it is an expensive proposition and as i have trouble making bills as it is i would love a suggestion as to how i can scrape up the money to move, perhaps you would like to fund my exodus please keep it nice. i for one feel attacked by your comments.

| What does another 4 years of Bush mean to you Posted: 11/3/2004 7:06:56 PM | I think you people out there who think that Kerry should have been elected, have missed the point of the matter.
First off, many... perhaps even most of the people that I have talked with, that voted for Kerry, did so because they did not like Bush. I have to say, that's the sh*ttiest reasoning I have ever heard in my entire pathetic (and it is believe me) life.
Oh I know... I'll vote for this guy because at least if this guy gets elected Bush will be out of office... Yay! Freedom and blowjobs for all...... NO!
Then you have the group that actually thinks it matters who is in office, whether it be Republican or Democrat.... I hate to break it to you people, but it doesn’t. Things would have not changed in any dramatic way even if Kerry had been elected, in fact I believe this so much I would stake my very ****ing life on it, literally.
Do you think stem cell research is really being canned... It's not... Oh the strictly civil side of things might have been pushed aside for now, but what about the military and the military controlled private sector research labs? (this is really beyond the scope of this argument but whatever)
The fact is, presidents don't usually call the shots in a lot of what they do. Their retarded party leadership does. If you people who voted either Kerry or Bush wanted real change, change for the better, you should have voted a third party ( you know those redheaded stepchildren that get kicked in the nuts every 4 years). I agree that a number of said 3rd party's are sort of wacky... But not all of them are extreme and many of them I bet, have positions and people within them you could stand with and like.
There is a sh*t load more I could blather on about but screw that noise.
You want to know what's really wrong with this country, I mean really wrong.... People will tell you voting a 3rd party or independent party is wasting a vote. Yeah well, I like how I vote, at least when I look at myself in the mirror I know I tried…. That and I really need some Oxy pads…..

sounds like he hit a nerve to me there Loukus.
I guess he did, I don't take kindly to be called a Nazi. Just like, Im sure, you don't being calling a Pinko Commie.
I get sick of this crap when idiots fling it every day at me.
But seriously, how the hell do you vote in someone who had to cheat to win last time? What the hell?
That's a flat out leftist lie.
Deal. http://supct.law.cornell.edu/supct/html/00-949.ZPC.html
If you want to talk about cheating, we can talk about democrats trying to exclude the military absentee votes, because they weren't postmarked (even though that's the way that all military mail is handled.)
I can only assume that you are independently weathly as you seem to have little sympathy for those who are working hard and still struggling.
Nope. I just understand you don't make an enocomy work by taxing businesses to put out welfare checks.
i for one feel attacked by your comments.
Like I said, I think you should stay in America. It's not so bad as you say.

Well, I think I speak for a lot of people out there when I say that, ''I might have thought about doing some research and voting for someone like Nader if it were actually feasible that he might have a chance to win.''

When I hear things as brazen, as the coments that come out of Loukus,I go right to his profile and see who is talking and in his case, it's a 19 year old punk, still wet behind the ears, living in mommy and daddies house, with no clue's as to the realities the lurk just out side of those four wall's.
i don't believe the same things Loukus does. but unlike you people i don't need to make personal attacks on him becaise his beliefs are different than mine.
i'm 19 also but i live on my own in orlando. i carried a job for 4 years, starting when i was 14. when i turned 16 i started paying my own bills, my car, car insurance, 4-wheeler, 4-wheeler insurance. just because someone is young doesn't mean they don't know what the real world is like.
My belief that the reason Bush was voted in was becuse he put the fear in American that Kerry would make very bad choices in Iraq and pull back our troops. Bush has hammered this theory into everyone's mind since kerry was nominated. Bush put the fear in americans that a vote for Kerry was a vote closer to more terrorist attacks. people never thought about the fact that Bush never captured the single most important person responsibe for 9/11, bin laden. i don't understand either why so many people bought into Bush's deceitfulness.

Sexy Kitty, you must excuse Loukus he still lives in his parents house and he is not familier with The Real world just yet.
I notice that there are nothing but lies on your profile. These are bold words for someone who refuses to disclose even the simplest of information.
Although I feel that he will excell in Iraq,as his duties there will intail slottering un armed civians,killing babies and their mothers...(-;
At the risk of this post being deleted, ... if that's what you think about the US armed forces, you can go to hell, and I'm sure a great many others share this sentiment.

It's 20, and I'm not a punk, and the fact that I'm an avid conservative puts me aside from my peers. If you can't deal with the agruements, don't start attacking the person. It makes you look stupid. Very.

I'm familar enough to know that 51% of the US generically views politics the same way that I do. I think you have yet to grasp this.
Loukus is Famous for his personal Attacks on people,He just made the mistake of attacking me once too often, then talking his little tatle tail self over to cry on tickettoride...
I didn't do that. I didn't know till you just posted that. Ticket strikes me as the type to read you correctly without my assistance.
What a joke. | |

Actually, it was 51% of the voters. This is very different than 51% of the US.
For example, only 17% of people aged 18 - 25 decided to vote. This age group is predominantly in favour of Kerry, according to statistics. If they hadn't been so apathetic, Kerry would have won handily.

Conceded, it's still more noteworthy than it's being projected by this Cad.

that's a sad statistic. it's a shame more people in our age group don't vote. it's exactly the reason the major domestic issues are targeted at older people because those are the people who vote.

I don't share his views. I believe you are loyal to your party, and likely mean well. I also believe that, unfortunately, you have been misled by your party. For the sake of international safety, I hope I am wrong, but I doubt it.

| What does another 4 years of Bush mean to you Posted: 11/4/2004 12:58:46 AM | In studying both candidates platforms, I was far more impressed with Bush than Kerry.
In just about every single category, I found Bush to be the better guy.
Each of us has their own reasons for choosing the candidate they voted, or would like to have voted for.
The major turning point for me was the fact Bush was not going to sell the US Constitution down the river to a corrupt outfit like the UN. Kerry was ready to sign over the autonomy of the US over to an inept, incompetent, useless agency.
That's almost as bad as selling one's soul, figuratively speaking.

yeah, he did tell the UN to kiss his A$$ but he has still failed to catch the guy responsible for 9/11. untill he catches bin laden he's not going to have much public backing in this war. i think when he had the chance to catch bin laden he failed miserably. i'm not saying bush is incompitent but i think he needs to focus on catching bin laden because if he does that i think more people will rally behind him.
what does another 4 years of him mean? higher gas prices, higher taxes to pay for this war, higher national debt, health care and social security getting worse. on the other side, terrorist groups being depleted, iraq will be free.
i just want to see how he handles North Korea and Iran. that's the big issue.

| What does another 4 years of Bush mean to you Posted: 11/4/2004 4:08:27 AM | MrSherman: he takes his orders from FEMA and they take their orders from the CFR and they take their orders from The Bilder Burgers
REALLY?
Then why does one sell out the country and the other one won't? Obviously not the same orders.
Spiff24: had the chance to catch bin laden he failed miserably.
We don't know that for sure. We assume there was a chance, we assume he was in the Bora-Tora whatever-mountains, we assume he was in Afghanistan. Not 1 hard fact there was ever a chance to catch him - all assumptions, speculations & probabilities.
higher gas prices, higher taxes to pay for this war, higher national debt
I am not sure the same would not happen if Kerry got elected. But what we do know for sure, is that Kerry would have driven up taxes in addition to the above. Money does not grow on trees.

well i've heard people comment this same thing straight to Bush and he has never argued this fact. which is why i think that as a "fact" it holds up pretty solid.
regardless of Tora Bora, i think our attention should have been focused on Bin Laden after 9/11, not Iraq. at that time Iraq was not an immediate danger to the US. can someone prove me wrong about Iraq? it would make me feel better if i knew they were an immediate danger to us. i know Saddam is a dangerous man and should have been taken out eventually but i don't understand why it was that particular time.
But what we do know for sure, is that Kerry would have driven up taxes in addition to the above.
then how do you expect Bush to pay for this war and everything else? i don't see what Kerry was going to do that would have cost us so much compared to Bush. it's almost as if Bush has this money that is going to magically appear out of thin air. if Bush doesn't raise taxes then our Dept will double by the time his term is up.
Money does not grow on trees.
niether do soldiers. one thing i do feel more confident in Bush about is the draft. i think Kerry would have signed a draft before Bush. but the way it looks, We could possibly invade a few more countries by the time Bush's term is up and where will he get soldiers? it can't remain all volunteers if he's going to invade Iran and North Korea. i know he hasn't said anything about war with those countries but he's trigger happy. i think if he were to reinstate the draft he would cause the world's largest protest. I know plenty of Bush supporters that wouldn't even think about letting Bush draft their sons and daughters into war. especially since so many people think it's unjustified.

| What does another 4 years of Bush mean to you Posted: 11/4/2004 7:12:13 AM | | Hi Tickettoride, I think the Patriot Act has done what Bin Laden and a whole slew of Russian dictators couldn't. Change the way Americans live. The ACLU has great information regarding the act and how it has gutted the constitution and bill of rights. Many of us see the the Bush administration as governing by fear. Don't you remember buying duct tape and plastic to make your home a chemical and germ bomb proof ? The rest of the world hasn't. If Bush is so good at protecting the US and lowering the threat of terrorism then why has the threat level remained the same red, orange, etc. It hasn't improved to a better colour. I'm sorry but the facts don't bear out Bush. He's a lying and when ever a lie is exposed the story changes and nobody ever pulls him on it. | |
