so now this void

why the darker abyss dominates
angry and judgemental waves

when you walk through it tasting nature
it reminds us all of how simple life really is
as the sun gets warmer kissing my cheeks
into the brightness of the new warm day
saying I am here to remove this barrier
so you may see clearly the road ahead
come walk with me down this road
while I lighten your feet and remove this cloud
and I shall glow brightly from behind it
as time escapes from my hand
while the fresh dew on the fields
dries in the heat I may cast freely

collecting pieces of white marble
as the faint sound from a cold creek
speaks to fishermen's hopes
I parade my Jeep like a monster
eating mud for breakfast
climbing tall hillsides
over boulders and forgotten stones
wishing I would just stop
and then I do when I realize
I managed to tear off my exhaust
while getting stuck on top
only to do it all over again
as campers crusted in dirt
eat my left over burnt hot dogs
and drink my now warm beer
wanting to weld me back together
when its just my truck

where I do to find freedom
for a mere nominal fee I gladly release
not only for the creations themselves
nor the life time statements they make
each a unique piece both to me and that one
that never asks too many questions
but always listens like I bear a confession
with meanings deeper than that needle
can ever bear into my skin
like a penance payment in pain
mingled with blood in rainbow colors
outlined in black just as dark
as the sins I seem to hide within
stained upon my soul
with that gun buzzing away
reminding me there is a fine line
between pleasure and pain
and I walk the edge of it all
somehow keeping balance
as I see my own designs come to life
graced inside my layers till the day I die
like graffiti thats been personalized
and again I fall in love with the rush
the pure high I find through nothing else
