He also stammers when he speaks. The definition has changed over time and it describes someone who is really into something. To an almost if not being obsessive. So a film buff could be a film geek. Geeks are not ugly.
A nerd is intelligent but awkard. they persue intellecutal things. I myself am a nerd and smart and attractive. But I am a bit of a goofball. Not everyone who wears glasses is a nerd. there are peopel who are simply visually impared but still stupid.
A Dweeb is someone who is unnatractive or nonitneresting. is a dimwit who acts smarter than they are. Was originally used to describe graduated from harvard and yale and ivy league schools who were psuedo intellecutals but were actualyl complete morons. So yeah you cna clal him a dweeb
As for someone who is ugly I prefer the use the word troll. My sister is dating this troll he is ugly and has a whiny and extremely nasal and high pitched vocie. He is a rela loser who wnats teh world to feel sorry for him yet he has a 6 figure income do to the limo service he inherited from his father. I don't like him!

10 Reasons Why Geeks Make The Best Lovers
It's not generally realized that geeks (male and female) are the best catches. Americans focus on the glamour of the good-looking, the male jock and the statuesque female, and tend to make fun of second banana characters like Urkel. Yet, geeks (a.k.a. nerds, etc.) provide the opportunity to have much longer, more stable, and happy relationships. Here are the top ten reasons:
1. Geeks don't cheat. Geeks know that the grass only seems greener on the other side. They instinctively stay devotedly loyal to their lovers through thick and thin. Their social skills are also not well developed enough to support an affair.
2. Geeks appreciate their mates. Since you are likely to be one of the first persons a geek has ever had a significant relationship with, you will be treated well. A geek knows that there aren't a whole lot of other possibilities. Frankly, geeks aren't quite sure how they ended up with the person they have attracted. When you date a geek, you know that geek will be yours for as long as you wish.
3. Geeks haven't formed bad relationship habits. After years of dating other people, the socially successful have become too confident to be intimate, think of partners as being only for their self-gratification, and focus on making themselves happy. None of this is true of a geek. The lack of past romantic partners allows the geek to approach lovers with the zest of a neophyte. Geeks are not full of romantic confidence. However, once encouraged, they are eager to please and enjoy their relationship.
4. Geeks are good at the things they try. Every geek has skills passionately developed over a long period of time. It could be role playing, chess, hacking, playing video games, or the ability to properly assemble a computer. So you know that geeks won't quit until they have learned how to make their relationship the best.
5. Geeks are not interested in status. Geeks became geeks because they chose to spend their time doing things that would not necessarily make them popular with everyone else in school, like sports and fashion. The ability to resist peer pressure is important to geeks. This means that a geek is more interested in your happiness than in looking good to others.
6. Geeks have imagination. Boredom is important to avoid to the game playing geek. A geek will seek new and creative ways to play, and this translates to relationships as well.
7. Geeks are happy and successful in their chosen field. No matter what their education level, geeks are able to make good incomes doing work that they enjoy. That eliminates one of the most frequent causes of relationship problems, since people who don't like their jobs may take it out on their significant other.
8. Geeks are analytical. If they don't get it right the first time, they look at what they did and figure out what to change. And when they DO get it right, they still keep finding ways to improve on it.
9. Geeks can concentrate. Geeks can focus their energy on one task with total intensity. Granted, the task they are focusing on may have more to do with writing new software for their Blackberry, but the fact remains that a geek, once set upon a task, tirelessly sets about to achieving a goal.
All of which means that…
10. Geeks want to be the best at what they do. So they try harder. And they never stop trying.
That sums it up right there.

| Why do stunning women go for geeks Posted: 12/18/2007 8:39:22 AM | | I have told my daughters since they were old enough to date to go for the geek. Why? Because the are more loving more romantic and most of the time just better men than the hotties that have gotten by on their looks. They seem to have an intelligence gene that gets past down to the children. | |

| Why do stunning women go for geeks Posted: 12/27/2007 2:28:03 PM | This is pretty sad; the original post is over 2 yrs. old.
Anyways, from an attractive affluent man's point of view I have discovered the following.
Plentyoffish is ripe with: (1) Unattractive / and or overweight women (2) Women in need of psychiatric treatment (3) Lazy, non-intelligent gold diggers (4)She-males, or perhaps highly masculine appearing females (5) Few attractive, employed, intelligent and generally happy women, but not entirely interested in dating to begin with. More or less here for shits/giggles.
The odds are definately not worth my time/effort. Yes, I have come across a few attractive, intelligent women but with the amount of 'baggage' they carry around, they are also not worth my time/effort.
These are indisputable facts by the way and not open to interpretation. It is also futile to debate those comments. I could care less that this post is in the wrong category, nor could I care less about the typical troll comments forthcoming.
It's been an amusing ride nonetheless on Plentyoffish, but have realized that the time spent for attractive, intelligent, well-employed people is better spent...elsewhere.
Time is precious, don't waste it on the vagrants of society.

"geeks" as you call them, make more than just an attempt to know a woman and be considerate.
The "geeks" I've seen out in public with attractive women appear to ignore them totally while goofing off with their ever-present buddies. I didn't know that's what women consider to be considerate.

| Why do stunning women go for geeks Posted: 1/7/2008 5:26:41 AM | I'm a thinker, I'm a talker and I treat a woman reasonably, believe me we get the shaft at my age, but I hear around 26-36 we really clean up with all those women that didn't want us and still are lookin pretty good.
Naturally I'm not gonna be too enthusiastic about taking on the girl that said "No, I just wanna fool around with guys at the bar right now." so I think I'll still have some trouble in a few years haha.
Oh and basically you're complaining that women are shallow cause they're going after ugly nerds with money, but you just want them to have sex with studly manly men instead? I don't get it... isn't that still kinda shallow?

| Why do stunning women go for geeks Posted: 1/7/2008 7:03:47 AM | | Me and my besties made a promise in middle school to never judge a book by its cover. From personal experience I have found that those with the prettiest exteriors have the ugliest interiors (just my bad luck I suppose). Quite frankly 'pretty' people scare me and I find myself very attracted to intelligence and so-called geeky behavior. | |

This is pretty sad; the original post is over 2 yrs. old. And yet many still post.......
Something about a thinker, a man with a brain who is not afraid to use it on all levels, all 100% of it....safety glasses and a pocket protector..... brain, heart and soul.... those qualities I cherish!! And if he has a tape measure with a light on it....then he knows my weak spot....LOL
|
| Not my case Posted: 1/10/2008 9:06:53 PM | | I am a computer geek and have not scored with tons of gorgeous women. Must be my repulsive behavior lol.... | |

| Why do stunning women go for geeks Posted: 1/10/2008 9:32:51 PM | Whoa! Where does this happen and when is the next flight there?
99% of the women I know like jocks or type-a businessmen, they tend not to like to talk about computers or video games other than possibly their old Nintendo they had when they were younger, or maybe still do on their Wii.
Send me proof! | |

My thoughts exactly!
No, really, I'm sure that many women do indeed go for the geeks, but certainly not in high school, and rarely in college (my age range). If they are, I must be failing because I don't wear a pocket protector. Anyways, I imagine that geeks must be an acquired taste. In my age range, though, jocks and party boys still rule the day.

| Why do stunning women go for geeks Posted: 1/13/2008 7:50:39 PM | | Why does it have to be about money? Maybe these women are turned on by brains and are interested in the same things as these geeks? Maybe they have chemistry with these men? Maybe they complement each other and are comfortable with each other. I have dated men that are considered homely and had people wonder what I saw in them. They were brainy, down to earth and the sweetest men I knew. | |

| Why do stunning women go for geeks Posted: 1/13/2008 8:17:38 PM | It just floors me this complaining about women wanting the money stuff, I have never gotten any mans money, where are these givers I hear about? I've gone out with guys that would be considered Geeks because they wern't always tossing it at me how easy it was for them to get other women, and actually took me somewhere, not all Geeks even have money far as that goes.
If a geek has a brain, Compassion, and knows how to treat me.. well then Hell yes I will pick him over the Hunk thats just leading me on, and never actually intends to have any relationship with me outside of the bedroom!!!

Sorry, couldn't help myself. The original poster is after something shallow so he assumes stunning women are equally as shallow.
