| | expensive anti ageing creamsPage 5 of 5 (1, 2, 3, 4, 5) | I know that all these expensive anti ageing products are a load of old bvllocks! But I occasionally get sucked into buying them especially if Im feeling knackered and old that day! Im a bit of a sucker for eye creams and have countless anti wrinkle eye creams, serums and bla bla bla! I know they probably dont do anything - but it makes me feel good so why not! At the moment Im using soap and glory " wish upon a jar" face cream under my normal moisturiser oil of olay x | |

As someone else said a lot of it is genetic.

| expensive anti ageing creams Posted: 6/14/2012 4:24:00 AM | I would have thought that the majority of moisterizers and anti ageing creams contain chemicals that cause the skin to tighten thus giving the temporary appearance of less wrinkles. The key is in the marketing, they'll always say that it makes your skin "appear" more youthful. Thank god we have the ASA.
The long term effect of these products is premature ageing due to the constant pulling and stretching of the skin.
A lot of people fall for these products because they'll say stuff like "contains aloe vera", I remember having this argument with an Ex over this organic cocoa butter lotion that she used to use, it contained 0.8% cocoa butter, the rest was chemicals, alcohol, acetone (paint stripper), parafin, numberous preservatives and some cryptic CI codes that we couldn't even find in google.
It makes me laugh because people acually believe these companies like Garnia have fields the size of a small countries all growing aloe vera and coconuts ready to be put into the millions of units of creams that get shipped daily. Have a word!
Lets not forget that these products are tested on animals and only for skin reactions, not premature ageing.

| expensive anti ageing creams Posted: 1/3/2013 1:16:05 AM | If you check out the ingredients in most of this jollop, you will find 'aqua' or 'aqueous sloution' fairly high on the list. Put at it's simplest - it's water. Ponds cream (cheap cold cream) is good, Nivea is excellent, cheap baby oil is not bad for the hands & vaseline is helpful with dry/flaky skin............and none of it costs the earth........

| expensive anti ageing creams Posted: 1/3/2013 10:45:44 AM | | I think I've said it before on this thread somewhere, but the only thing I use is E45 lotion to moisturise, I wouldn't waste my money on anything else more expensive, I never wear or have worn foundation/face-makeup...genetics and no excesses is the answer...smoking,caffeine, drinking and/or drugs are the worse things for your skin | |

| expensive anti ageing creams Posted: 1/3/2013 10:58:34 AM | bum cream is great for faces as well as bum wrinkles.First thing in the morning if you look like you've gone a few round in the boxing ring anusol is a wonderful thing. Does wonders. Not for long mind you, just enough to get you through the first hour of the morning without being asked if you're feeling rough.
edit ...I have a feeling I've probably said this already somewhere on this thread or another.Never mind I like repeating myself.
