But I will settle for a date.
With the 10:1 M to F ratio on POF a girl could get a boy um..no prob lum.

| Repetitive lines you see in profiles Posted: 10/26/2011 11:00:22 PM | You know, I hear that stuff all the time, but I don't believe it. The ratio, I mean. Where do you get that number???
I've had quite a few dates on POF (probably close to 20 or more). There were a couple I would have liked to pursue something with, but for whatever reason, they weren't interested in that with me. More than a few were completely awesome, but just coming out of serious relationships and in no way where I am in my life.
Only maybe 5 or so were complete and utter duds. As in, no chemistry, too nervous, misrepresenting themselves, too busy talking about their ex, or what have you.

| Repetitive lines you see in profiles Posted: 10/26/2011 11:26:02 PM | Just do a search and compare the numbers. It does vary somewhat. Sometimes it's only 5:1 depending on the area. In the real world, LA Metro is one of the worst areas for single men. The M to F ratio does not even out all the way up to 48. In comparison, NYC Metro it evens out at around 21. (based on the 2010 US Census).
So you had around 30 dates?..the vast majority of guys can't claim that unless they were welling to date total fuglies and or very large women.
This has gotten way off topic... sorry.
|
| Repetitive lines you see in profiles Posted: 10/26/2011 11:40:38 PM | "Looking for a bad boy" and then list tattoos and motorcycles as what he would be like and nothing else.
I see that all the time, or something close to that.
-"I don't know what to write here"/"I'm not very comfortable writing about myself" Ugh. I rarely keep reading. I get those a lot too :(

| Repetitive lines you see in profiles Posted: 10/27/2011 3:21:37 AM | A search for "the singles map" will bring up a good overview.
It shows the LA metro area as the biggest fiesta de salchicha in the nation. LA is the "Largest male plurality" which is the fancy way to say the same thing the Spanish phrase I used means.
Where I grew up is orange with more single ladies than men but just barely so it is a small orange circle.
Back on topic...
Headline
"No expectations" Well I hope "No Standards" will email you because I wont.

| Repetitive lines you see in profiles Posted: 10/27/2011 8:56:20 AM | Patrick..just think. When we will be around 80 there will be plenty of 70 year olds to pick from. At that age there are only 82.7 men per 100 women!
Can't wait! | |

| Repetitive lines you see in profiles Posted: 10/27/2011 10:30:39 AM | John's comment FTW! LOL.
I think there are differing opinions on how hard it is to date in certain cities. It all depends on perspective.
|
| Repetitive lines you see in profiles Posted: 10/27/2011 12:45:50 PM | If it's a tough place for the guys because of the ratio it is a good place for the ladies.
The last time I was on a large number of dates per year was 2000 until 9-11-2001... I was on active stationed at USMA about 50 miles north of NYC when the attacks happened.
I think is a few issues all adding up to the difficulty level of being online around LA. One is a given the male to female ratio online. The second is the ratio of single males to single women in the area and the third is that it is a much more superficial and materialistic culture out here.

| Repetitive lines you see in profiles Posted: 10/27/2011 8:07:48 PM | Repetitive.....
......it's more common than not for someone to use poor grammar such as using "your sweet" instead of "you're sweet." Why is that?
When a guy knows the difference, that alone can excite me. :)

John...
I am not thinking about that. I would rather outclass the rest of the guys now AND out live them later.
Time for another played out headline..
"Looking for Nemo" | |

| Repetitive lines you see in profiles Posted: 10/28/2011 5:28:00 AM | I forgot one
"I'm kind of a big deal" ~ Sometimes I think... What like biggie fries at Wendy's?
One more
"Looking for a man with substance" I have substance of which none of it is the controlled variety.

| Repetitive lines you see in profiles Posted: 10/31/2011 1:58:58 PM | This is one of my favorites:
I believe in starting as FRIENDS....
Let's see..
I don't want to be "friends", I just want to take you back to my place and f -- ck you.
or
I don't want to be "friends", I just want us to run off to Vegas the day after we meet in person and get married.
Some of the things women say on this site is mega retarded. Bogles one's mind.

| Repetitive lines you see in profiles Posted: 10/31/2011 2:12:33 PM | I want a harem
I see a new headline taking shape for you John.
"I want a harem.. J/K .. I will settle for just a date."
|
| Repetitive lines you see in profiles Posted: 10/31/2011 2:14:54 PM | ^^^^^ Remember Tom Leykis? He used to say that when a woman says "let's be friends first" , what she's really saying is "OK, I effed the last ten guys I met right away, but NOW I want to be friends first !!" | |

Some of the things I have seen women put out are so bad that it is just not right to call it "retarded" because it is just not fair to the the developmentally disabled to have to be associated with it.

| Repetitive lines you see in profiles Posted: 11/1/2011 5:44:59 PM | | Or outright criminal. "A partner in crime" is actually a turn-off now, especially when the only person I met via PoF meant that literally. I reported her for 11 different felonies (some have multiple counts). However, for those who don't mean it literally, are they saying that there's something wrong about having sex in a (committed) relationship? | |
|
| Repetitive lines you see in profiles Posted: 11/1/2011 7:27:02 PM | | I just love the pics guys take with a heap a clothes , wadded up towels behind em or sink full of dishes... might as well post housekeeper wanted! | |
|
| Repetitive lines you see in profiles Posted: 11/2/2011 10:21:22 AM | OMG..I just thought of a couple of great ones...
1. "I live life to the fullest" Lets see...I don't want to live MY life..I just want to flush it down the toilet. What does it mean? With your credit card, we can do all sorts of expensive things.
2. "I work hard, and play hard" This is a true WTF. I can't even comment cuz I hate it so much.

| Repetitive lines you see in profiles Posted: 11/6/2011 11:32:44 AM | "Comfortable in one's own skin."
Well, who else's skin would they be wearing? Is she (or he, but I usually see it on women's profiles) a (female) "Hannibal Lecter?"
|
| Repetitive lines you see in profiles Posted: 11/6/2011 11:43:34 AM | I was thinking about putting this on my profile:
"Looking for a REAL WOMAN, I am just so tired of sleeping with my inflatable rubber doll!"
What do you guys think? | |
