Nittany..........Sorry to bother you. I thought State of Florida was a defendant in the case. My mistake. No more questions.
Robert, don't apologize... I just thought you were trying to be coy. What're you thinkin' about?

How can this pathetic clown of a principal...
Posted: 7/31/2005 10:02:19 PM
expect respect for herself as a duly constituted authority from her students, when she so blatantly disrespects the highest duly constituted authority in the land?

The answer is simple--she can't. How did any schoolboard bring itself to hire such a complete fool?

I'd bet good money that she was fired for a completely different reason, and is using this picture thing, if it even happened, as an excuse to sue.

Aren't conservatives the ones for tort reform supposedly?

You can't have religion in public schools and I guess that includes the anti-christ.

Sounds like a dumb case to me. What I don’t understand is how on earth did this case got this far in the first place? It’s basically her word against the Principal! She resigned…period!

Furthermore, she used a letter of recommendation that the Principal gave her for suing the school which shows her true character.

And let’s say that it truly was about the pictures. Are teachers allowed to desecrate the school property? Don’t they need permission before pocking holes in the walls? Was it a part of the curriculum?

Also, miscellaneous pictures? Why not all of them? Why would you want to have pictures of some of the presidents on the wall if not for political reasons? As a teacher, are you allowed to use your power to start training children toward a political group?

I think that it’s just another stupid case that will be lost once the facts will be on the table. Just another way to attempt to get money out of the system.

Maybe the teacher found the president's picture distracting to her class because of all the controversy surrounding it.

I agree that the school's insistence on having Bush's picture shown in the classroom appears to be a move intended to train the kids to be good republicans.

WOW! I don't know why, but I am always amazed at the level of lunacy which spews from the Left! ha! Liberals! I should be used to it by now! But, it still seems to stun me... whew!

You know...I got yer guys number. I was ONE of you for 25 years (or more). theres nothing you are saying that I myself didn't say in one way or another during that long tenure!!! Hell...I joined up in 1969! I would wager that the majority of leftest posters on here wern't even born yet!!! ha! You youngsters think ya understand. Ya don't. You don't get it. But, if you are under 30, I forgive you. I understand the exuberence of youth...and youths are pretty much supposed to be liberals. Ideally, we are supposed to mature and wise up after 30...I was a particular bad cas of arrested development. ha. It took me clear into my 50s to finally get it! thank God... I did get it though.

The OP was dead right when they said it is "obvious" who is the antagonist when it comes to causing the divisiveness!!! Hell yes...its the Looney left! give me a break! For our wonderful Canadian friends.... we are not making mountains out of molehills.... we are engaged in a full out cultural civil war! the outcome of which, could well determine whether this country even survives as we have know it!!

The incidence of a "liberal' principal ordering a bush portrait removed from a wall of presidents...is so outrageous and blantant... it boggles the mind. all you fervent Bush haters just don't get it. You can hate bush all you want. Its a free country. But taking a portrait off a wall of presidents???? I would be just as outraged had it been (god forbid) Carey!!! Get it????????? I guarantee you!!! Absolutely!!! That had it been John Careys portrait up there with the other presidents....NO Conservative principal would ever think of ordering it removed!!!!! I rest my case!!!!!!

Perhaps you should try to elaborate on which part the “level of lunacy” occurred. If you just want to blow hot air, why post something in the first place?

I’m not sure what this has to do with the thread…care to explain it to me? It’s about someone getting fired for what she believes to be for a political reason…based on her side of the story and no proof to back it up! Why on earth would you even attempt to bring this to court without anything to back your story up? Furthermore, she could’ve found another job immediately after (because of the need for teachers) but refused to do so. She waited 6 months before suing the school. This is a clear case on how can I make money out of a system that will allow me to attempt to cheat someone or an institution through a court of law.

It took me clear into my 50s to finally get it! thank God... I did get it though.

Well, I don’t know what you got but whatever it is…keep it!

we are engaged in a full out cultural civil war! the outcome of which, could well determine whether this country even survives as we have know it!!

What on earth are you talking about???

Back to this thread....If Jillian Caruso had a case, it will turn on the testimony of whatever credible witnesses that she is able to present to the jury.

On page 3, she states that the parents of her students "universally complemented the Plaintiff's teaching performance." The problem here is that “parents” are not experts witnesses in regards to anyone’s teaching ability which means that the district’s attorney will have the testimonys thrown out.

There’s no credible witnesses therefore no case.

“The district's defense will be that Jillian Caruso wasn't forced to resign due to her political activities but because she wasn't an effective classroom teacher.

Traditionally, school districts usually dismiss probationary teachers (like Jillian Caruso) without any explanation at all as to why they are being "non-reelected" for the following school year. Many times, such teachers are given a chance to resign so that they may avoid having to state that they were "terminated from employment" on future job applications.”

I rest my case also!

He's nobody to be respected. His grandfather was one of the many people who started the second world war two and helped the Nazis.

Funny - I always thought the WWII was started by some dude named Adolf Hitler. Guess you learn something new every day ........

Sorry to say but your President has done NOTHING but alienate your country from the rest of the world as far as respect and leadership goes, and our Prime Minister just follows along like a little puppy. Love your Gov. ruling "two terms only" - can't wait to see this war monger with a pea brain voted out. Yeah I know, I'm flaming your President - well you can do the same to our PM, doesn't worry me - I'm more concerned about the negative impact the US is having on the rest of the free world, and as his biased and money grabbing tactics have already affected our country (with the loss of lives because of our support in this stupid war) I have nothing but contempt for Bush. He's just a mouth piece for his father and all other politicians who stand to gain from this war, in my opinion.

"when the principal spotted the Bush portrait late last year--it was hanging among photos of other U.S. presidents--she "became outraged and insisted that the picture be removed"
So, no mention of any outrage over Nixon? LOL In a display with of US presidents overall, why try to hide the mistakes we have made? LOL All part of the history and such. She should have just kept her mouth shut. Sure I think Bush should be charged with crimes against our own country, but this was a bit overboard.

Republicans are the ones dividing this country. Notice how the "liberals" condemn the USA (both Democrats and Republicans) for illegal wars and so forth and the Republicans just blame Democrats for illegal acts and defend Republicans for "just" acts. And then they call anyone who disagrees with them, "anti-American". Now its worse because the FOX news stations spread lies and claim "liberals" are hurting our troops just like the terrorists. Pretty soon, they will advocate death or imprisonment to liberals for the "security reasons" FASCISM is on the rise!
