How have you managed to keep her hidden from the rest of the residents this long? Metro Toronto is big enough to have a Russian consolate. Send her there. They will help her and find her temporary accomodation, if she is legit.
Your job is to study, not to get mixed up in this girl's employment problem. I wonder why you are studying Italian and planning to move to Europe given the state of the economy there. You'd be far better off in Saskatewan. Come down out of the clouds, kid. Get real. | |

I did the same thing with a friend i knew for a short time and it turned into a year long horrible experience because I didnt want to be a jerk. . . . The womens shelter would have people there to help her get in contact with the right people if she was kicked out of her job (if its a true story) and get her back on track, Its not this guys problem to have to deal with it. At least its better than dropping her off at an embassy and saying see ya!

Me too. She has a work visa, right? Ask to see her visa. If so, Canadian immigration should be able to help her get started. Most nannies and au pairs come in via agencies. She should be working through them and they would place her with a new family. But if she's an illegal nanny or au pair, I'd still go to Canadian immigration to start. | |
