Actually, in truth, we've got the Poles, the Romanians, the arabs and the africans streaming in here on a daily basis. It seems North America gets the majority of the Russians/Ukranians - although we've got plenty of them too.
The "influx" of eastern european immigrants into the UK started not long after Tony Blair's Labour government came into power in 1997. It was meant to be about 15.000 a year that were to be allowed into Britain. By 2002/03 - MILLIONS had entered the country! It was out of control, and it still is!
The vast majority of young eastern european men put nothing back into the UK economy as they don't plan on staying, and send most of what they earn back home to their families - and then return themselves.
The eastern european women however - that's a different story. Millions who enter legally are on temporary working visas, but they want to stay. And they think their "passport" to a permanent stay is marriage. And they ain't fussy about who they hook up with! Here in Scotland alone there are countless horror stories of the lengths these women will go to, to stay.
Indeed, here on POF in Scotland we've got loads of them! What on earth would a beautiful young Polish woman want with a 50 year old guy like me? Well, I personally get loads of messages from these women telling me how "handsome and sexy" I am (I know, don't laugh!). And it's always the same thing; they tell you they've "...just arrived in London" and they'll "fly up to Scotland if you meet them". God knows it's tempting sometimes!
But the vast majority of them are not interested in any men they contact/hook up with - they just want that permanent residency.
OP - as someone mentioned earlier - watch all your cash and especially your credit cards! Here in the UK, the Courts are full of these people every day. | |

Posted: 1/20/2012 5:44:55 AM | I had a very similar experience ( through meeting on POF) and he became homeless and my good nature & good heart tried to help but to sum it up, you HAVE to do what I did, which is this, you must always remember that it's not selfish to make yourself happy and you do have to think of yourself, your finances and the emotional state of mind this will put you in the longer it goes on. I solved this issue by driving him to a shelter after calling to find out the rules, hours of operation to sign up,etc. Immediately upon driving away; I felt my inner-peace returning. ...and this is also VERY IMPORTANT TO REMEMBER: ONE OF THE LAST THINGS I SAID TO HIM, WAS EXPLAINING THAT BY HIM STAYING WITH ME IT WAS PREVENTING HIM FROM MOVING FORWARD, SUCH AS :GETTING A JOB...TO SAVE MONEY TO EVENTUALLY BECOME SELF-RELIANT. I TOLD HIM HE WAS A GOOD PERSON BUT I FINANCIALLY COULDN'T AFFORD IT AND I TRIED MY BEST TO HELP FOR AS LONG AS POSSIBLE. SO UNDOUBTEDLY, ALL YOU CAN DO IS EXPLAIN TO HER NICELY HOW YOU FEEL AND THAT YOU WANT HER TO FEEL BETTER ABOUT HERSELF AND THAT YOU JUST CAN'T HELP HER ANYMORE BECAUSE YOU'RE PREVENTING HER FROM HELPING HERSELF; AND THAT YOU CARE AND YOU'VE DONE ALL YOU CAN , AND THAT YOUR ROOM ISN'T EVEN LARGE ENOUGH FOR 2 PEOPLE AND FOR EVERY LOGICAL REASON SHE NEEDS TO GO ELSEWHERE (prob. a shelter to start) I'll just end by saying, please do it for your sanity, if she's in a shelter she will have a warm bed, and be able to qualify for various programs that are designed to help assist ppl in her situation, with food, clothing, housing, etc...there is A LOT of programs out there. So never feel bad for making this decision, cuz all you're doing in reality is the best thing for both of you

Mate, screw the 'being a gentleman' part. You're being used. Or are you too much the 'gentleman' to see and admit that? You have two choices only: Chuck the tosser or shut the eff up.
If you live in University residence, why not pass her on to one of your chums there? Have you stopped to consider you're likely in violation of Rules and Regs, since she isn't (a) supposed to be there on the first place, or (b) paying to be there - unlike you - (unless you're on full award)?
Now: Quit the pisssing and moaning and DO WHAT YOU NEED TO DO. Be done with it and chuck her sorry ass out before University does so to you - without, I might add, 'feeling.'
Do it before she gets knocked up. If that happens, you'll wish then for the problem you have now. | |

Having to have a beautiful woman in your bed does not evoke much sympathy from me, but I would limit the duration. Have a conversation with her, tell her that she needs to find a place soon and that you will help her look.

She was to be a Nanny but the wife decided the pretty girl had to go...how did the couple find her and bring her over? Or was she already here? And if they brought her here and legally if that, where is the severance pay? Unless of course (if and only if this story is true) she was hitting on the husband.
If already here, where was she before?
She moves in with you and in two weeks time has "feelings" that are "genuine".
