THAT feature IS mostly associated with AA/latino women. "Bubble butts" are actually a GOOD thing. THATs why there is a big market for undergarments that "lift" the booty, creating that look. Maybe then the House of Reps. could craft a bill to ban all asses larger than whatever size the Legalistas determine was large to begin with. Unfortunately, that will never happen because as everyone knows the hughest of asses reside in the House and Senate. After all, their asses need to be at least big enough for their heads to fit.

She's a middle aged woman who has given birth to two kids so her backside is a little wider than an anorexic's. But she's got way better muscle definition than anyone calling her fat.
Anyone who could accuse her of hypocrisy is deluded. She's just doing what First Lady's always are supposed to do: work for a non-partisan, uncontroversial cause. I think Lady Bird started it with highway beautification. She wants American kids to eat better. If you want hypocrisy go back to Nancy Reagan - first thing she did was bring booze back to the White House (the Carter's were abstainers), but adopted "Just say No" as her slogan.
Finally, the First Lady didn't change the food pyramid, that was done by the FDA after years of consultation with people who know about this stuff.
Okay, the last statement wasn't "finally." Could you imagine the outrage that would be expressed if a Democratic lawmaker had commented on Laura Bush's weight? "Liberals hate women!" . Excellent post! And right on all counts.
Also, needs to be said: if Mrs. Obama's rear end is bigger than what is considered perfect or 'average' it may also have to do with body type. A person can be thin all over but have larger than average/perfect thighs or buttocks or even tummy. Breasts are mostly fatty tissue, but many women are thin all over with large (real) breasts. Some areas are almost impossible to exercise away, especially large buttocks and thighs. (And I'm not saying that because it is what my body type is; it isn't. I am saying it because I know a bit about fitness.) My point is that it is about body type. Mrs. Obama is a very physically fit woman, far more fit than the 'average' American woman her age. | |
