I would like to say that older woman understand themselves better and are more confidant. But in my experience this just is not so. There are a lot of older women that wasted their younger years parting and never reflecting on who they were so in many areas they never matured... they settled. And settling is never sexy. | |

Posted: 12/9/2007 1:39:21 PM | I cannot believe I just read this post from Tonycash! Honey, I am 44 years old and I may not be the size 12 I once was but I am happy with myself and see no reason to unduly go under the knife. I certainly don't need plastic surgery to make me feel hot!
I will admit I do have my vices. I have a long term relationship with hair dye and highlighting foils! I also am quite anal retentive about getting the nails done, too. I also don't feel the need anymore to put up with the crap I once did. I spent years trying to conform myself to past spouses' wishes (did I mention they both are the kings of idiotism?) and finally came to the conclusion that if you can't like me for who I am then it's just not worth it and I am certainly NOT visiting the knife to make you happy. I visit the hair dye/foils and nail salon to make ME happy! | |

Too much emphasis is placed on the external, IMO. I don't think sexy is something you put on, it's something you are. Or aren't, nothing at all wrong with wanting to look your best, you usually feel good when you do your best to look good. I also think it's sexy to embrace your age, whatever it is rather than try to "look" younger.
In my mind, why would I want to look like I did 20 years ago? I'm not the same person on the inside, don't think the same, hopefully the years have given me some tangible benefit. I just want to be the best I can be for myself and those in my life, same as I did 20 years ago and same as I will 20 years in the future. Years of life add the richness of experience, that's not something I'd ever want to turn the clock back on. | |

Tonycash ....caught my eye - What woman hasn't looked in the mirror & said mmmm tuck that up a bit? I chose to look in the mirror and say "mmm that little line there must be from the happy times I had and the smiling made a little wrinkle" I'll keep them thanks!
It's all in the perspective, when I was 35 I truly felt a lot older because of the relationship I was in, the negativity that surrounding my life; now I am 41 and feel like I am in my 30's with a whole lot of garbage behind me....so what does that mean; that means I walk differently, smile and wink a whole lot more and feel more woman and sexy then I did a long time ago! It's got to do with what you feel inside that makes what you project outside! | |

To me however, it's the way they are out of that submissive shell. No longer daddy's girl, they take what is around them and make it their own. They wreak of confidence! Also they have matching undies. | |
