Posted: 7/17/2008 6:47:36 AM | There are a lot of angry posts that seem to be saying that women, or men, are "entitled" to someone's interest, regardless of how they look, what they do, and how they view intimacy. There are also "entitlement" mentality type posts, that strangers "owe" understanding about the challenges one has faced in life.
I've dated women spanning a 30 year age range, and what's "sexy" or attractive to me isn't about age per se. I am attracted to women, who I find physically attractive based on my own preferences, who have a positive attitude about their lives, capabilities, and the future. Most women in their 20s aren't "attractive" to me, nor are most in their 40s or 50s. It's a small percentage, and I accept that most women aren't going to be attracted to me either. It's a two way selection process, and no one has to have a "good reason" not to be attracted to someone else. | |

funny 'bout that...
I once bought a bottle of aged wine that was suppose to be delicious, but I noticed there was sediment at the bottom of the bottle... what does that have to do with the above? Nothing, it just reminded me of that... but
isn't it interesting to keep a bottle of wine and let it get better, it must be kept in the dark. To keep a woman and let her get better, she must be kept in the bright light of love and nurturing and playfulness/laughter...
Sexy is a look in her eyes, a slight smile, a certain walk, the way she holds herself, sexy is in jeans or a dress, tennis shoes or heels, sexy can be in the tone of her voice, sexy is the way she expresses her "self", sexy can be in a slight touch, sexy is in the eye of the beholder mostly... when I was young, older women were sexy and I was lustful, in middle age they were sexy and so was I, in my "mature" years they are still sexy and I'm lecherous (inordinate indulgence in sexual activity ... in my dreams!) heheheh,

A woman who is comfortable in her own skin is sexy. I feel sexier now at a size 14/16 than I did when I was a size 10.
A woman who can financially take care of herself.
A woman who doesn't need a man to complete her life. I'm happy in my own skin with my own life. Sure it would be great to find a guy to complement my life but I don't think being desperate to be paired up is sexy at all. | |

In my experience, women who are self-confident, and believe themselves to be attractive, have an anticipation about being wanted and admired during sex, and, therefore, are far more often sensual and sexy. Whereas, in talking to women, or reading posts from "appearance challenged" women, they more often seem to have an "issue" with sexuality.
So, while not always true, it is more likely that an attractive woman, no matter her age, will be sincerely sexy in a way that an unattractive woman would not. | |

These are women from all walks of life. I think older women are not valued enough in our society.....youth is the focus because it's "pretty and perfect". Good to see the discussion is still ongoing, I would say what the intent was at the time but it's not relevant.
My odometer has turned over and I'm not over 40...well technically but now I'm over fifty! Woohoo...I'm the same woman who posted the OP but then again not exactly.
Every year every birthday, it's another year of life lived, lessons learned, most importantly how great life can be if you're living it.
Even with the stuff that has been challenging (like everyone else..and nothing to do with age) every birthday I'm reflective and cannot help but be grateful.
IMO it's more about realizing what perspective and perception are, I focus on my own and don't get distracted by anyone else's.
I've been so enjoying reading the many pages and all the magnicificent women and men who've kept this thread going and made so many fantastic contributions.
Thanks to all and for the women over 40 (and over 50...haha) and the men that appreciate them. TOAST! | |

impact and Jgirl I know many a lady over 40 and not all I consider sexy. I do however value and respect each one. I personally look for a lady in her late thirties on up to my age. Mostly ladies in thier forties and early fifties. Have been approaced by some as low as 20 but hey thats a kid to me. No matter what each and everyone deserves respect and when any woman lets go with her personality and it shows giving a true picture of herself then she is going to appear sexy no matter what. And a "Woman" over 40 and giving her best step forward is for sure going to beat out a child anytime. Take care ladies and have a good one.

Sexual Confidence! Right On! 
I remember watching some talent show that had a group of women of ample to large size. They were were wearing skimpy dance outfits and they were awesome, not only because of their talent. The sexual confidence that they exuded was intoxicating.
I also agree about the "porn star" comment. One of the reasons I recommend and prefer real amateur and not "professional amateur" videos for those who express interest in those types of enhancements.

She goes after what she wants, and in most cases she gets it, too....If she has had children in her 20's, she is pretty much done raising her kids, and now is her time to enjoy what life has to offer....She knows not to sweat the small stuff in life, and if life hands her lemons, she will either bake you an awesome lemon merange pie, or get out the vodka and sugar and do lemon shots with her girlfriends! | |
