Maybe I'll just let the main character of the current novel I'm working on speak for me:
"A few minutes later a woman entered, and Pete was instantly shaken out of his routine. Everything about her seemed to affect him... the curve of her lips, the shape of her face, the way she moved, the look in her eyes, her voice. When she put her hand in his to shake it, something like electricity ran up his arm. Time literally stopped for Pete, until he realised he was staring and yanked his hand away. The suddenness of this momentarily startled her, but she flashed a smile that quickly spread to those warm, amazing eyes, and Pete could tell she knew. She knew how fast his heart was racing, how much perspiration he was producing, and what parts of his body were softly and deliciously melting because she was standing so close. Women are from Venus? Hell, this one might be the goddess of beauty incarnate." | |

Posted: 8/14/2005 9:25:55 PM | I got to tell you....that is one of the most f*cked up remarks I've ever read. I normally don't post on these things, but love to read them to see other's opinions.
There are alot of women out there over 40 so very attractive (marks or what-ever) your little mind commented on. I am older than that, but even so, I can tell you from your comments even as a jest...You have alot to be desired.
Many people that turn 30 even younger wonder of their looks. Obviously, as one gets older, they worry of their looks, both male and female alike. No longer are they competitive as they were or can be in the younger crowd anymore. Few can, but unlikely they will fit in so well.
To be honest in my opinion, I would much rather have wrinkles and be bald or fat or what ever compared to running around looking like a pin cushion or have my body so covered with tatoos that your can't even tell what my real skin color is~.
Scary when naked, wait your turn my friend, it is coming...BUT far from all look scary!! | |

Maybe to them, so maybe not so much a disagreement but different perspective. When you're in your 20s as a female, your sex appeal is mostly physical, not that you aren't aware and attuned to your inner qualities. You usually feel mostly sexy because of the way you look. As you mature, you realize there's qualities a lot more important than perfect hair and having your nails polished. It's the confidence from building and being more aware of those inner qualities as you mature that makes the over 40 woman sexier. | |

Also, as we "mature" we tend to nurture our inner qualities more and realize they are far more valuable. This is of course a generalization, there are certainly younger women who are not so caught up on their looks and DO value their inner selves. If you look at the magazines for teenage and younger women, they are cover to cover pretty much costmetics and clothes, very few articles or articles ABOUT cosmetics and clothes. The magazines geared toward an older audience have the same things but more articles about friendships, relationships, raising children... | |

I have no idea exactly what it is that I have got now that wasn;t there before, is because I've grown boobs at last, and I am still a size 12, or have I got a twinkle in my eyes, that I'm not aware of. I know I'm more confident, my dress sense has'nt really changed, I've always tended to be more on the classical side and I'm not particulalrlyflirty. I do still like to dance, and occsaionally get dragged clubbing by a girlfriend. The attention I get from younger men never ceases to amaze me. So guys, You tell me... what is it us over 40's/50's have got? | |

So many women let themselves go after 25. It's really sad. I'd take a sexy 40 year old hotty over a 26 year old chubby anyday. If a guy walks by and comments "I hope my wife looks that good at that age" Then you know you've got it.
I mean I struggled a bit after a bad injury that cost me my dreams of playin rugby into my forties like so many guys brag about. I put on ten pounds after the injury and I though I'd never run again. I just kept trying and eventually my body rewarded me two years later. I can run again without pain! And I know my six pack will be back in no time. :) The key is to never give up. Life is supposed to be tough if you keep trying you will be rewarded a heck of a lot faster than just sitting around waiting for something good to happen. Heck tonight I'm going rock climbing! I haven't done that since I was 22! Yeah so it's the recognition that someone puts effort into life. I think that's what make a hot 40 year old attractive. | |

#1, you have the AUDACITY to refer to a refined woman over 40 as a "hotty" (And not even spell the hideous word correctly...it's HOTTIE. I've seen it enough times, AND HATE IT ENOUGH, to know!).
AND...
#2, You'll discount someone based solely upon their looks.
AND...
#3, You're redundant, and your idea of someone that "puts effort into life" means nothing more than if they work out regularly or not. YUCK...
"that's what make a hot 40 year old attractive" If she's HOT, we'd assume she's attractive. Duh.
What about those women over 40 who gain career recognition? Get laid-back? Regain the sense of humor they lost when times were tough? Get an education? THAT's not putting "effort into life"???
