Posted: 11/19/2004 10:51:27 PM | | i agree with the calling other things drugs, too then. .....caffeine?? omg!! never in the whole while i smoked weed did i ever wake up at 3 am NEEDING a hit. i can not count how many times i've had to wander into the kitchen and down a mountain dew before my body would let me go back to sleep. i couldn't think of anything else..i had to have it!! but no one thinks of that major addiction badly. how many ppl HAVE to have coffee in the am to get their day started or things just don't function well?? yet if i had to wake and bake, i'd be a bad person and d*mn that addictive weed. wtf?? why is it different? i don't see it. what i do see is that i can in the span of 10 minutes make a trip downtown and buy all the alcohol, cigarettes and caffeine i can hold....and no one would thing anything of it. hmmm. such double standards. | |

Never in my life have I seen some one smoke weed and want to go jump through a Glass window... I've see a few drunks do it, however! (Go figure)

Posted: 11/22/2004 9:42:37 AM | My best friend is a pot head all the way and she'll tell ya d*mn right! I personally don't smoke it cept maybe once or twice a yr. Now my friend she smokes it daily. She's 47 now and has smoked it since the early 70's. Before was for recreation...now due to her having bad arthritis it helps her cope. Honestly it makes me paranoid and I don't like to feel out of control...I drink and when I do I stay home and sip. So I can't down anyone for smoking weed.

Alchohol is purely a poisonous reaction in your body. It is not psychoactive. It is equivalent to poisoning yourself.

I believe Marijuana should still be legal, it's about as harmful as tobacco and alcohol

If government marihuana eradication programs were successful, would they have to stop at 100,000 plants and then declare it an endangered species? | |

Posted: 11/28/2004 9:27:58 PM | I don't see any reason why it shouldnt. People should have te freedom to make their own decesions. However, people need to be responsible to know how to act when they do have access to it, so as not to have that privilage taken away again.
In fact, if you check your history books, both Cocaine and herrorin were legal about 100 years ago.
Originaly, you cold buy both herrorin and cocain in department stores. However, a problem with both of the drugs was that in order to inhale them, you had to sniff it. The solution: why not put cocaine in the form of a liquid that people could drink. It would be full of cocaine so you would get the taste and enjoy all the great pleasures without the hassle. The product is still known today as Coca Cola. However, while they do add artificial flaovoring to make it taste like Cociane (or so ive heard, i've never actually tried), they don't add te drug to it anymore.
Herrorin was thought of being the wonder drug of the century. It was a great mussle relaxer, and anti-depressent, along with countless other medicinal benifits. The problem however, was herrorin, like cocaine was so pleasureable it no longer became something taken when a person needed an upper or to help handle pain. People over-used the drug, to the point that they were stealing things so they could have more money for more cocaine. They eventually left the gov't with no choice but to make it illegal. | |

At that time the police New York State Trooper not only tested for alcohol but also did a test for illegal drugs, they do this by your pupils, and the reaction,I can't say how accurate it is because I passed the test and I was high.. So yes they do have a certain way to test for it . I am not sure if any other states do this or if it was just experimental. | |

Personally, I lost a friend to a dumb a** drunk driver,so I understand your point, but I personally think weed should become legal but limited. I believe that everyone has their opinion ,I wouldn't want someone driving a school bus high, or anything, certain jobs if this does become legal should still drug test and have the option of not hiring someone who is positive. And as far as driving , I think every vehicle sold should be equiped with a breathe tester, urine sample(lol)and a I'm a idiot driver with road rage tester, then we limit the accidents and deaths. Too many people get away with driving while drinking, I know I have, so if they equip all vehicles then ,we eliminate a big problem.. | |

Posted: 12/1/2004 10:06:52 PM | I make a motion to make milk illegal. Turns out that the statistics prove drinking milk leads to heroin use. Every heroin user when asked have all injested milk at some point in there lives. Therefore milk is a gateway drug as well.
There are more people who have not moved on to a harder drug after using pot than there have been. Pot is not nearly as harmfull as cigarettes. This is proven by the aids studies. Aids patients who smoke large amounts of pot do not die of smoking related illnesses as their cigarette smoking counterparts.
Pot was made illegal by the cotton companies that knew they could make more money off of cotton than hemp.. | |
