The Vet I knew had to dispurse with the meat n some was given right away to the prisons n other was sold... Delicious meat.

Biscon is delicious also which there is a farm of towards Prescott or Camp Verde bison is also very lean...so govern yourself accordingly if you try it...i've tried bison ribs...(prepped by a certified chef...they were awful)...bison burgers...prepped at a fair...they were good...and i've made bison burgers at home...but i added pork fat to it...a disgusting amount of pork fat...they were good tho... one of the clients at the rehab i cooked in had a beef allergy and they used to bring in bison meat for him... for people that have a hard time digesting beef...bison is recommended

| What's the weirdest thing you ever ate? Posted: 5/14/2012 2:46:38 PM | When in high school they used to serve those rectangular slices of pizza and I used to top it with mayo, mustard, and a dash of ketchup and then smear it all together. I may have looked like baby shiat, but it tasted better than the pizza by itself! Oh, and may and ketchup on french fries.
Once on a dare (again in high school) I ate my friends regurgitated spaghetti...all she did was chew it and spit it out, lol. Mind you, I DO NOT do that kind of stuff anymore!!
In Japan with the military we went to a sushi bar that had the carousel that would rotate around from the kitchen with different foods. I grabbed one that I thought look innocent enough yet still a little daring (I like different foods.) It was sushi, obviously with white rice, and on top of it was this thin layer of something that was white. I thought maybe it was just a piece of fish. I could handle that. I like raw foods/sea foods.
Long story short...it wasn't fish and I never found out what it was. I chewed and chewed and...you guessed it, chewed some more until there was no more rice left in my mouth. I gagged several times and my Captain thought I was going to throw up on her. BUT...I was determined to eat this damn thing! I made a look out for the bathrooms just in case. After gagging for the last time, I managed to chew this rubber slimy thing long enough that I could just swallow it whole. Needless to say, I didn't eat the second piece, lol.

Loved it when I was young --- have no idea why or how I started to eat it ... but have to admit ... will still have one now and again when I am looking for a little comfort food :)

Most Americans would be repulsed by it but really it's pretty much the same sort of thing as any sausage... ground animal sphincters (anus) and things like that.
I no longer eat flesh. It was a long time ago.

| What's the weirdest thing you ever ate? Posted: 5/16/2012 8:13:47 AM | I have eaten beaver meat, but not the tail. There's really not much on a beaver tail to eat,but the meat is very good. It doesn't taste like chicken at all. It's a flavor all its own.
I've eaten a lot of insects, mostly on dares as a kid. Grasshopper are pretty good roasted;so are crickets.

i ate a dew worm once...on a bet My sister and I used to gross out the neighborhood kids by swallowing sow bugs/rolly polly bugs. Too bad those weren't cash bets.
Lutefisk. I could easily replicate the experience by making unflavored gelatin with half the required water.

Its tasty, varies on recipe etc but even skin isn't so bad. & great Crunchy cartiledge & its good for you. So Not really weird..after all ppl eat things from the ground too lol. What is abit weird is ppl eating glass or expired food & such..how they're able & still here...sure bananapeels or even orangpeels isn't awful & all that but ppl who eat plastic & such..even metals.Though there is edible gold & silver..& perhaps if true of myths & such, its possble to drink/eat other minerals like gems etc..& some ppl, & cultures eat pure raw meat..arachnids, dungbeetles fried like peanuts.. or old trad.to make cheese using maggots.. intriguing the way we/one are/is & becoming Etc. of course there are things we don't know.. Also now with tech.being advanced to making waste edible,'meat'grown in petrie dishes & what`s next..Thinking what we have seems best maybe

| What's the weirdest thing you ever ate? Posted: 5/17/2012 1:18:18 AM | when I was a child, I remember that my Dad used to butter sourdough bread, cut thick ... tear it up, place it into a chilled aluminum glass ... pour icy cold milk over it and eat with an iced tea spoon! he called it buttered bread and milk ... he usually ate this after my Mom had gone to bed because, had she still been up, she would have complained!
my favorite sandwich when I was a child was extra chunky peanut butter on homemade bread with thick slices of purple onion ... I remember my Mom made me peanut butter and mayonnaise sandwiches, too ... but I preferred the thick slices of onion ...
out with friends at an authentic Chinese restaurant in Los Angeles one weekend, one man in our party ate chicken feet ... no meat, no coating ... just chicken's feet ... we all teased him so much ... later, we stopped at a Basque restaurant in Bakersfield and the rest of us had sliced lamb's tongue! he kept leaning over and whispering in my ear, "that sweet little lamb will never speak again! baaaaa!" weird food ... fun day ...

| What's the weirdest thing you ever ate? Posted: 5/17/2012 8:10:19 PM | about 1975 or so, I worked for a marketing company in Los Angeles ... one of our more unusual foods we were marketing was avocado based ice creams from the Phillipines ... there were pretty good, actually ...
later, I worked for the international sales and marketing arm of an olive cooperative ... of course, everyone's probably tried almond-stuffed olives ... garlic-stuffed olives ... onion-stuffed olives ... on and on!

^^^^ Avocado is a fruit , a dessert for Pilipinos, we put canned milk and sugar. Mexican friends says eweee.... and we say eweee too when they spread it on their sliced bread .... Mixed with lime, onions and tomatoes as guagamole/Avocado with shrimps. I love,guacamole.. I considered avocado as a vegie and a fruit

| What's the weirdest thing you ever ate? Posted: 5/29/2012 1:39:49 PM | | my mom made it all the time, it was pronounced stoo-di-ninna & was was very mushy, like soft jello, pork fat but clear/gray, I think head cheese has more meat in it...these old Ukrainian Ladies raced eachother too see who could get to it first & made weird animalistic grunting sounds plus some ecstatic moaning all mixed in! | |

| What's the weirdest thing you ever ate? Posted: 5/29/2012 3:21:42 PM | | Are you sure it wasn't pig's feet/pig's knuckles? That sounds like the jelly that's poured over pig's feet. I could never stand pig's feet just because of that jelly. | |

| What's the weirdest thing you ever ate? Posted: 6/1/2012 9:06:44 AM | I ate silkworm cocoons in Beijing. They were rather nice but squirty! I had lots of people videoing me eating them!
I had a severe reaction to them with an hour that lasted until the next afternoon. My palms started itching tremendously and were red and sweaty. My feelt started the sasme and I had to stamp my way back to my hostel. I had to constantly scratch my palms. My face got very hot, red with blotches and grew generally swelled. I had to keep rubbing Vasoline into my hands.
When I researched on it, it turns out that 33% of people have an allergic reaction to eating them.
