I do like valentines day though. a bit pricey yes.. but apparently a large supermarket store brought out cards for 7p.. I wonder how many people bought a 7p card for their loved ones.

| What to do on valentines night Posted: 2/14/2012 9:55:32 PM | | Debeers made money off the "Diamonds is a womans best friend" and the idea that a worthwhile proposal is with a diamond ring. This holiday is a hallmark one..because I guess you can't really put a price on love. | |

| What to do on valentines night Posted: 2/15/2012 5:07:11 AM | well I got 15 Valentine cards yesterday .. left me speechless and breathless at the same time.
That security guard from Clintons gave me a bloody good chase.

| What to do on valentines night Posted: 2/15/2012 7:16:20 AM | I had always thought that people sent a Valentine card anonymously to someone they fancied.
To receive a Valentine card on the 14th of Feb would not do anyone's self esteem any harm at all and trying to work out which secret admirer sent it would be as delicious as honey to a bee.
Even in this day and age,Not to get one would still be a right slap in the gob with a wet Codfish, especially if your smug gloating mates got one or more,Wouldn't it?
I have avoided the Valentine Pantomime with all the distain that this demonstrative cliche deserves. It is on a par with Mobile phones in that if you do not push the boat out/ have your Mobile on at all times then you are damned if you do and damned if you don't.
I went in to a florists on the spur of the moment one Monday morning and was greeted with the question 'What have you done wrong over the weekend then?' I also got a round of grief for not having my Moby switched on so i could be contacted.
Like i said,Damned either way.
Emotional sodding blackmail is what it is.

| What to do on valentines night Posted: 2/16/2012 6:39:30 PM | I went to the pub for a snifter after a "hard" day at the office! I ended up having a few more than the snifter (6), went home at 8 and was snoring like a good un by half past, so I missed it
Mind you while I in was there, kept seeing a few couples in their best Bib & Tucker, passing through before heading "into town"
Also received a few lovely (PoF) messages, from some of you lovely ladies, on the day! Which did make my day!

| What to do on valentines night Posted: 2/17/2012 6:35:18 AM | I spent the evening having dinner with my loved up neighbour.
It was not me she was loved up with, but a guy she met three weeks ago, who could not see her because he was away on business that night. Nice meal - and listening to her go on and on about this guy (including all her fears concerning how long this relationship might last and where it was heading) made me quite relieved that I do not have one!

| What to do on valentines night Posted: 2/17/2012 6:42:42 AM | | Lol my evening yesterday was like that. My best mate came over from other side of country who I've not seen in ages and her other half decided to start a text row which lasted from the minute she arrived until about 10 pm. This morning he texted to apologise. I told her to tell him thanks for spoiling our only evening together in 3 months due to her illness and thanked my lucky stars I don't have someone so selfish as that in my own life! | |
