My understanding of ad sites is they get paid for unique hits on their ads. So not logging in means no hits on thier advertisers, purpusefully or accidentally. Between the blackberry and laptop i probably accidentally click an ad almost daily.
Though like stated the viewed me is now down for service so maybe a recant is already in the works. | |

Hi scores must be a friend of the jackazz that owns this site..10 million dollars in PROFITS and ads don't cover the cost of operating the site...those ads made him a millionaire..think its time to pull the plug on this pond for me..the shark that owns it is getting a little too hungry for me.

Posted: 3/13/2012 3:05:00 PM | Because POF is a terrible website compared to other paid websites. The only redeeming quality this site offers is that it is (or was) free, which in turn leads to more users. Take that away and POF becomes the bottom of the barrel.
Hell, even the other "free" sites are much better. The only reason I use this site is because there are more people on here in my area.
If you were going to pay to use a dating website, you'd be a fool to pay for POF when the others are far superior. | |

Don't waste your money by paying for Match, Harmony or Chemistry. I've been on all of them and this was beats them all.
Yes, POF is not perfect, but neither is other paying sites Trust me POF will be better because of this move
POF: $35.00 for 3 months!
Match: $39.00 for 1 month!
Chemistry: $49.00 for 1 month!
Harmony: $69.00 a month!

That's not really a fair assessment of POF vs. any of those sites. They have better features for paid members than POF, have much better M:F ratios in general, they function more reliably than POF, and a whole host of other things already mentioned in these posts.
For me the issue is similar to many others point of view. Come up with additional things for paid members instead of hijacking features that have been provided free for so long. Further limiting what people can do is not likely to encourage established members to switch to paid accounts. It encourages them to leave because it shows a disregard for those who have been on the site for extended periods of time. For the record I found the viewed me section useful after they took out the ability to see if your message was read. | |
