We call our daughter Beans or Beaner. She was born weighing only about 2 pounds...and she looked like a little bean.

The funniest one I've ever heard is Link (his name is Lincoln...but his nickname is Link, not LinC). I asked why one time and his dad told me 'Because he's the link between the ol' ball and chain'. hehe.

I have 2 children a daughter and a son..

My daughters first sweater as a baby was from a store where across the front spelled out B.U.M, since then my parents and I have been calling her Bum, which she loves. We called my son it one day and she got upset saying it was her nickname lol

As for my son I call him D, or Taz...

The pair of them also share a nickname, when outside I would often be calling Dion and Ashley or D and Ash, or Ash and D when it was time to come in or something, and now I call them DASH one word and they both respond to it.

Look at all the bugs! LOL! I called my youngest daughter Buggy Boo and Scooter.
The middle daughter was Pumpkin, but sometimes we held her in the air and said "Look! It's a bird. It's a plane. No! It's Stuper Baby!" The oldest daughter was Jelly Bean and Bert the Squirt. I remember her 1st grade teacher doing a lesson plan that called for all the kids to provide nicknames which were written on cards. The teacher misunderstood what my daughter was conveying (and, of course, my daughter was only 6 so she didn't know any better) and wrote Bertha Squirt.

My daughter, who is 16 next week, has always been called Sweetpea. I nicknamed her that as a baby, when I used to put her in those "dressing gowns"...ya know, the night gowns for babies with the tie at the feet. Well when she started crawling, she reminded me of Popeye's nephew Sweetpea in the cartoons LOL!

My middle one, who is 12, has always been called my "little man". If I called him that now in public he would shoot me.

The best one is my baby, who is 10. When he was a baby, for some reason I can't remember, I started calling him "doodlebug" all the time, and "doo" for short. Well at about 2 yrs old my doctor told me to stop, because the poor kid didn't know his name really was Tommy. When ever someone called him that he ignored them....but if you called him Doo or Doodlebug, he answered right away

I still call him Doo on occassion, and sometimes even slip in public

I call my youngest "Beaner" and my eldest "Fat Head".
I have no idea why on either account...lol

I call both of them "Monkey Butt"...in fact we just invented "Monkey Butt Bread" (banana bread with chunks of apple in it) as a snack...they thought it was great

My family used to call my daughter midgie when she was a baby, like the tootsie roll.

She is known to me as chickadee, maddiepoo, maddiekins, Ms. M and sometimes "get yourself into that bathroom right now and brush your teeth"

Then, Sara-Bear, Bear, Bearski, Goob and Sarasponda (ret set set)

She actually made a nickname up for me! She calls (and writes in e-mails) Shmomala. I love it! She's almost 11 now.

My son is 10, he still answers to Goobster, or variations of it, like Goobs or Goobster Boobster. I also call him Bubs/Bubster

When he was a baby, he reminded me of Mr. Magoo for some reason, so I started calling him Goo, and then it went on to Goobster and the others mentioned.

I call him that in front of his friends too, and he doesn't bat an eye, he's so used to my pet names for him, he treats them like his given name.

My 9 year old has cycled through soooo many nicknames. When he was a baby we called him Drunk Monkey, because that is what he looked like after nursing. He was also Buddy, and Bucky. Oh, and Buddah because he was 11lb 2 oz when he was born. Now he is Buddy, Monkey Number One, or Monkey Butt.
My 6 year old has always been Hannah Banana, Peanut, Peanut Butter, or Monkey Number Two.

And both of them regularly get called Goofball.
