Im a thrasher at heart! Thrash Metal, Crossover and other punk/metal combinations highlight my day. Been listenig to a lot of Municipal Waste, Toxic Holocaust, and some old Cryptic Slaughter lately. Love me some Napalm Death and Extreme Noise Terror. The like a shit ton of old school thrash and hardcore punk in general. Love me some Iron Maiden, King Diamond, Motorhead and Venom as well.

Right here!

I love it all. I have a death metal band and we do headbang! I quit moshing after an injury scared out of it and realizing that I need my body for important thing in my life. I also like a variety of other subgenres like thrash, black, power, early metal and some folk.

Municipal Waste, proper. Just saw Toxic Holocaust (great) and Casualties 2 weeks ago. Napalm Death of course. But you're very right to go back to Cryptic Slaughter; you must love DRI. But I only like like Dirty Rotten LP, Dealin' with it, and Crossover. What about Mucky Pups? Weren't they like CS? You must like Celtic Frost? So much good music, so few true soldiers willing to undergo the trials that life in the underground brings. No one who hasn't been around the scene will never know what a fun and crazy life it is... Napalm Death, Agnostic Front, The Exploited, GBH,****Sparrer, 4-Skins, Brujeria, Obituary, Toxic Narcotic, Punch Your Face, 25-ta-life, Breakdown, Full-Blown Chaos, All-out War, Slapshot, Malevolent Creation, The Bad Luck 13 Riot Extravaganza, Colorblind Cutthroats, Shattered realm, Terror, The Bruisers, Donnybrook, Shockwave, No Reedeming Social Value... ect.

Yes, I do love Heavy Metal. But mainly, I like those who created and shaped the genre. The originators, before it was even called Heavy Metal!
I also need metal with skill, style and heart. I don't just want a guy growling his lungs out without a single understandable lyric. I like good singing, melody and intricate instrumentals.
Among my favorites:
Black Sabbath
Deep Purple
Blue Oyster Cult
Budgie
Uriah Heep
Motorhead (the ones all the growlers are copying)
Judas Priest

And my absolute favorite: Ronnie James Dio- Rainbow, Sabbath, Dio, Heaven & Hell

I used to be a big Metalhead but I've changed over time. I was always a big fan of Black Metal and still listen to some of it now, stuff like Deathspell Omega, Wolves in the Throne Room, Drudkh and Burzum. I'll also have the occasional listen to a variety of other bits and pieces, ranging from old school Sepultura to Blood Red Throne to Morgion to Pig Destroyer.

I am a die-hard metalhead. Have been for over eight years now. The subgenres I'm into are NWOBHM/traditional, power/prog, thrash/speed, doom/psychadelic, death/melodic death, black, and folk/viking.
Here are some of my favorite bands: Judas Priest, Iron Maiden, Dio, Manowar, Black Sabbath, Omen, King Diamond, Mercyful Fate, Riot, Cage, Angel Witch, Saxon, Malice, Blind Guardian, Helloween, Gamma Ray, Stratovarius, Rhapsody of Fire, Edguy, Domine, Iced Earth, Megadeth, early Slayer, early Overkill, Neil Turbin-era Antrax, Kreator, Sodom, Witchfinder General, St. Vitus, Trouble, Cathedral, Candlemass, Electric Wizard, early In Flames, Dark Tranquility, Arch Enemy, early Children of Bodom, Amon Amarth, Bal-Sagoth, Burzum, Immortal, Dimmu Borgir, Old Man's Child, Dissection, Finntroll, Turisas, early Eleuveite (sp?), Tyr, **pant pant** and that's just off the top o' me head! ;)
I even was lead singer in a local traditional heavy metal band named Eternal Champion. We played a number of shows and released an album that was supposed to be part of a concept album trilogy, but we never got the chance to go to work on the second one because we split up due to differences, and because it seemed like the other guys wanted to fiddle around metalizing Disney covers for fun at shows and I wasn't into that. I wanted more of our original material done, and so did our rhythm guitarist. I bear the guys no ill will, and I'm looking to start a new band in the same style as Eternal Champion.

My favorite genresTechnical Death Metal and Melodic Death Metal (but i certanly go out of those boundries), as long as its got blast beats and it sounds good and heavy as hell, stuff like Nile, Necrophagist, Amon Amarth, Wintersun, Skyfire, Deicide, Morbid Angel, Death, Behemoth,Suffocation, Immolation, Vader, Job For a Cowboy, Cephalic Carnage, Napalm Death, Cryptopsy, Hypocrisy, Dark Tranquility, Ensiferum, Kataklysm, Fleshgod Apocalypse, Kalmah, Obscura, Origin to name a few... Love headbanging, especially windmilling now that my hair's got the length, and always get in the pit at gigs, always.

I just finished listening to Insomnium's album "One For Sorrow" again. I can't wait to see them on the North American tour with Epica later this year.

When I posted in the Profile Review, a fellow metalhead insisted that I remove all metal reference from my profile because of how non-metal women might perceive it, particularly death metal. He suggested that I should just wait the lady to inquire about my music tastes upon meeting. We all know that metal has been blamed for problems and still makes other people cringe with discomfort. Common interests can be vital when forming a relationship but it's still sort of hard to believe that one either only love something or hate something. There are those who just think neutrally too, people who'd say "it's okay", "I don't hate I just don't find it interesting" or "I don't like it but I respect your tastes". The reason why I don't post obsessively about metal on my profile is that I want to keep my profile simple and easy to understand since have an eclectic, well-rounded taste of interests.

I love Metal and I make the very obvious that I like Metal. I also listen to other types of music. I don't care what or how others think or feel about my musical taste. Its not their taste then so be it. NONE of my ex's like Metal, hell most of them liked Country, my exwife HATES metal she listens to music Christian Rock and that non-sense. Music taste shouldn't break or make a relationship. It is nice to have someone who has similar taste in things as you, but just because they don't doesn't mean anything. My exwife would go to Metal shows with me and would even put on the Suffocation shirt I bought her when we went to shows. I also would go to her Christian Rock shows. Like I said I listen to everything though. 311 is my all time favorite band and I've seen them in concert just about everytime they've come near Maryland and I've also more than any other band I like.
