2012 Stanley Cup PlayoffsPage 2 of 7    (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7)
The scheduling seems to whomp, unlike previous years: It seems the majority of games are 4-4:30 Pacific Time with NO games following at 7-7:30, which is if I remember correctly how they used to do it.

One major positive addition is that ALL games will be covered this year, unlike playoffs past where some games were just plain inaccessible.

Blah blah blah blah, POF is glitching up and saying my multiple-sentences post was too short to be posted.

Jagr still gets booed every time he touches the puck.

Still happens in Verizon, too, and he hasn't played here in years either.

I'm projecting the Flyers over the Pens in 6 games. And if the Flyers then have to face the Rangers, I believe that they will go down in 5 games in that series. Then they could join the Penguins on the golf course.

^^^ You are absolutely correct. They were firing on all cylinders in the first period, and then they went home and sent lookalikes in to play the next 40 minutes. Pathetic and unnecessary loss.

Vancouver over LA 4-3
SanJose over St Louis 4-2

Vancouver over San Jose 4-3

HAwks over Coyotes 4-2
Predators over Wings 4-2

Hawks over Preds 4-3
---------------------------------------------
Rangers over Sens 4-3
Bruins over Caps 4-0

Bruins over Rangers 4-3 (Tim Thomas rules)

Devils over Panthers 4-2
Penguins over Flyers 4-3

Pens over Devils 4-1
----------------------------------------

Hawks over Canucks 4-2

Pens over Bruins 4-2
---------------------------------------

Pens over Hawks 4-3 for the cup
-----------------------------------------

Please dont bet on these; they were very off the cuff pics, and I havnt watched, hardly, at ALL this year.

1. I know its SUPER hard to repeat

2. Pens have momentum, and need it "now

3. Canucks just dont have the heart!

4. I'm cheering for the BlackHawks. (And a bit Vancouver too) I like the younger teams, and Vans in because of the Cdn angle. (I guess) That whole 2 minutes for hugging penalty last year left a bad taste though, and really, I was more proud of the grit, skill and determination shown by Boston. (THAT was what I know hockey to look like) ;)

GO LEAFS!! (Even though the proper term is actually "leaves"; but hey)

Flyer s beat Pens for the second time, A great, fast hard hitting game. Claude Geroux gets six points out of a possible eight. Sid the Kid and Malkin and the rest of the Pens are playing well, but lets face it some one has to win. Agrat series to watch.

^^^ yeah, there sure isn't right now, is there? I still say the D is sitting at home and sending lookalikes to the games. I sure wish the real players would show up and give the Flyers what-for.

Just the fact my beloved Kings are going back to Staples UP 2-0 is found money. I still won't believe we'll win this series until we've won it, but things are nice. I also love the goonish nature of that Ottawa/NYR series. Nice. Guys gettin' punched out Slap Shot style. Alfredsson getting wiped out today. And it might go a full seven...that might be "last guys standing" wins.

Sure, count out Bruins again as you guys did last year.

Take a look at goals for and against, Bruins have the highest difference.

That shows Bruins have solid defense.

The Bruins could be in position to make another run, but at the end of the day it is still hockey, where a bounce here or there can ultimately decide your fate. Look no further than last year, when a clearly outmatched Canucks team nearly stole the Cup, because they were able to take advantage of the breaks and in the end pull out all three of the (only) games in the series that were competitive.

Ohhhh, I think the Kings will do it even if they only put in HALF the effort they already have. I'm thinkin the Nuckleheads have been gettin into my stash before the games. Sumttins "up" with this team, I just don't know what it is. They are very confusing. And right now, they suck.

I've always thought the Kings were the most under rated team in the playoffs. They've got as good a goalie as anyone. They've got one of the best defences in the game - Willie Mitchell was the top shutdown defenceman on the Canucks when he played here and he's number 4 on the Kings chart. Their forwards are really good, but have under performed this year - I expected them to turn it on in the playoffs.

Before the series started I'd have said that matching the teams, I'd say goalies are a wash, big edge to the Kings on defence, slight edge to the Canucks on forward, and big edge to the Canucks on special teams. Well, the Kings have dominated on the power play and PK. So I'm not surprised the Kings are up 2-0.
